You see more ducks in 30 minutes than I do in 30 days. I shoot if it is a good shot. It is hard to believe you pass up so many shots. Be glad you are in an area where there are plenty of ducks. 95% of what I shoot are woodies. I really enjoy your solo hunts. I hunt alone most of the time. Keep the videos coming.

Hello for France again. I'm looking your videos for a thew days. Nice videos and nice shoots. It's interresting to compare the way you hunt ducks in USA with the french methods. Just for fun: the name of some of your ducks comes from old french. Your wingeon is called "whistling duck" in France but in Normandy it's called Vingeon which became Wigeon in english. It's quite the same for your mallard duck which is called "Green head duck" here but the drake is a "maillard", an old french word, which became "mallard" in english.
@HighPrairieSportsmen2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! That's super interesting. I'd love to know more of the names if there are any.
@antoinelecat9602 жыл бұрын
@@HighPrairieSportsmen No more similar to the name used in USA. The most hunted ducks in France are the Green Wing Teal (Sarcelle d'hiver), the mallard (canard colvert), the shoveler (canard souchet), the wingeon (canard siffleur), the gadwall (canard chipeau), the pintail (canard pilet) and the Summer Teal (Sarcelle d'été). We can also hunt other species : the most important group is the diving ducks like your read head (fuligule milouin), the tufted ducks (fuligule morillon), the pochard (fuligule milouinan) and then the sea ducks like the eider (same name), scotts (macreuses noires et brunes) or goldeneye (garrot à oeil d'or) even there are less common.

Love your vids! I´m curious though: You take a lot of ducks at pretty close ranges and you said various times that you are a full choke guy. How do you prepare the ducks that got plenty of BB´s? Do you make some kind of soup or stew? I watched a lot of your vids and I thought numerous times: "Oh boy, I would not want to eat that". This is not meant in a bad way, I´m just looking for some recipes.
