They just need a blanket "cost reduction auras can't reduce below 1 mana" to fix the inumerable situations that have come about from just OTKing with an infinite number of spells. Open the Waygate was nerfed for the sins of Apprentice. (Of course, now with Parrot, it maybe needs another look) Echo died for the sins of Mechwarper. And now Test Subject is going to get taken out back for the sins of Radiant. "How many times do we need to teach you this lesson, old man Blizzard?"

Test Subject isn't innocent though. That thing has been used by various OTK's, some more viable than others. I think the most elegant change that won't change anything else would be to make its deathrattle give you the cards at the end of the turn. That way it goes back to what Blizzard seemingly designed with it, a card that gains all the buffs for no cost as it will refund them to you.

@@GaussianEntity all of the historic Test Subject wombo combos have only ever really worked because of the interaction with Radiant Elemental or some other recursive, infinite mana cost discount effect. There's nothing Test Subject can do that's fundamentally broken if you strip out the infinite mana Radiant Elemental gives. The best you get is... what? A 3 card combo (reborn, scar, subject) that deals 3 damage to the opponent for every 2 mana you put into it?

@@EnderPryde You can nerf Radiant but Nazmani Bloodweaver can easily take its place. It's a bit more in resources but it also discounts minions, so it's not like it's going to be a huge shift. Also, nerfing Radiant makes other Priest decks worse for little reason aside from this combo, so I'd rather hold off until it's unavoidable.

Boom-Zooka has been crazy good for a while if you put it in the right deck. I got to Wild Legend for the first time with a homebrew Maxima/Boom-Zooka/Darkmoon Tonk deck that felt more like Big Priest then anything Hunter should be running. This is just the latest iteration of that idea.

Regarding the discussion about Radiant Elemental, it really needs to be changed to reduce only Holy spells by (1). It would put an end to just about every infinite, crazy combo Priest can do, plus it even makes sense flavor-wise for the card.

I had a similar idea with Demon Hunter. Shuffle the horses and then play Vandar in order to reduce their costs. Then play a Blackthorn to summon all three at once.

Essentially, yes. Though my situation was different in that people knew who I was from top Legend finishes before I started streaming so there were usually a handful of people watching even when I first started.

I just assume that they're relatively new to the deck when that happens and haven't quite thought through exactly why that's a bad idea. I started Wild long after Jade had rotated there and before Dew Process so it wasn't even played often there, and arguably it's not the most intuitive thing to know when to start shuffling. I know the first few times I had Jade Idol in my deck and had it in my opener I shuffled it without even thinking and it was a while before I found out why it was a bad idea.

lorekeeper polkelt makes this deck way better. it is guaranteed off of masters call and once you play him you get your whole combo. 90% of the time i am killing my opponents by turn 8 latest whereas you are stuck looking for flarks boomzooka.

So what do you do when you have Maxima turn 6 but can't play it because you have Lorekeeper in the deck? There's really no need for it when you have so many ways to look for stuff in the form of spells or weapons.

Of course you do that 90% of the time. Except for when Polkelt puts Rivendare on top instead of Maxima, because both cost 6.

@@tobikontinued thats why you have sphere of sapience, harpoon gun, and devouring swarm just in case. trust me, the combo still works and the odds of drawing rivendare before maxima in my deck is way smaller than the odds of drawing rivendare before EITHER maxima or boomzooka in this deck.
