Yeah, like Attack Goose said, it's induction. Induction hobs do not produce any heat at all. Just after you use them, the surface may be a bit warm because it's had a hot pan on it and the heat from the pan warms the hob, so do be aware of that (putting a bag of sugar on it straight after wouldn't go well lol), but it won't ever be hot like an electric one would. Having said that it's a good idea to avoid using it like a worktop because you don't want to crack it lol.

You can use soap on regular cast iron. The soap thing comes from way back when soap was far more caustic than it is now. I use it all the time it's totally fine. You can even lightly scrub it a bit, just don't scrape off the black seasoning. I mean, you use metal utensils in it, it's not like it's some delicate object. Just don't leave it soaking in water or it will rust. Dry it on the stove then lightly rub oil and you're done. See Kenji Lopez-Alt if you don't believe me. I swear people are so freaking weird about cast iron.

Yep! I always wash my cast iron pans then immediately dry them on the stove. Never had one rust and I have my dad's old pans and I'm 30 now soooo these pans can be washed for sure!

I’ve actually worked at a place that separates the yolk and white of the egg! It’s a giant machine that does the job! It has many spoon like egg holders and when the egg is cracked the spoon sort of drops to reveal a fork like egg holder that separates the egg yolk and white 😁

Enameled is real cast iron lol It's just that old soaps used harsher chemicals like lye and that could ruin the iron. Modern soaps don't damage the iron in the same way, so you can use soap on modern cast iron pans
