Starting a lengthy hike with a slight hangover, especially when you have to ride a tank of a bike to get there, may not be the wisest decision I've ever made. But with interesting terrain and a warm sun, the alcohol soon evaporated and I enjoyed a terrific journey around Big Salmon Lake. Join me for a pleasant ride/hike in delightful September weather.

Ooh, a new book! Texting my buyer now :). Thanks for the video. I miss my old Goldwing for things like storage when off for a hike, or simply to store the helmet when otherwise stopped, or that ride home in inclement weather, sheltered behind the 'barn door.' Otherwise, yes, a good walk and a good ride can do wonders for the body and soul. Cheers!

Thanks for the support. Yep, those old touring bikes have their uses. Lockable storage, great weather protection, hugely robust drivetrains - and my favourite - they're dirt cheap now 'cos no-one wants them.

Haha , the old white bread and jam - so simple, yet somehow never disappointing. Always enjoy the videos Nick - slightly jealous I can't get out and enjoy the country side as much as you do, or maybe I'm just making excuses for myself. Hope you're keeping well.

Thanks for another great video Nick. I also love walking and riding but here in the UK I often find myself worrying that the bike won't be where I left it upon returning to the carpark which is such a shame as it can detract from the walk itself.

It's sad that bike theft has become such an epidemic in the UK. You need a really ugly, worn out bike that nobody wants and has no value.😁

How did they get that truck all the way out there, eh! There’s a couple cars off the trail at Jones Falls, in amongst the rock ridges and trees. Weird! Great trail, too far for me though😢

What magnificent country, lucky fellow. My family had to choose between emigrating to Canada or Australia and chose Sth Australia in 1952. Whist we have good riding weather most of the year the countryside is predominantly dry and barren and with few exceptions uninspiring landscapes but with superb stretches of white sand beaches. I thoroughly enjoy the relaxed manner of your videos and inspires me to visit Canada in your summertime.

Ah, but you can ride year round. I've been watching Joe Ryan's videos of riding in Australia. Looks fabulous to me. The other guy's grass is always greener, but thanks, it is very nice (in parts).

What a lovely walk! Sounds like your liver is doing better than mine. If I even split a bottle of wine with my wife, I would have had no inclination to go for a hike the next morning. Nice vid, Nick, thank you!

Beautiful scenery! That's definitely a good little way for sure. I see some of the trees are just starting to turn color. Fall is upon us. I'm trying to ride as often as I can. Another Convert I picked up has been keeping me occupied. I just got it running after the thing sat outside for a few years. It fired and ran pretty darn good after cleaning the carbs and setting points and timing. Well it is a Moto Guzzi after all. Cheers Nick TT

Excellent video, I certainly enjoyed it. Also liked the music toward the end, my SoundHound app told me it was something called 'Do It" by Logan? But I was unable to find anything about this song on the Internet. Is there a place where an mp3 version of this song be purchased?

Thanks for sharing the bike and your hike. Question, do you have any idea the height of your screen. Mine is so high I see through it and at night its terrible, I was thinking of cutting it lower. How do you find your screen? Cheers
@nick949eldo
@nick949eldo Жыл бұрын
I cut mine down to be able to look over it but found it too wind-noisy. The wing I added calms the air, but I have to look through it. Fortunately it's optically fairly clear.
