Have you had a look at Warringtinis Alternative Reality mod? Starts with a fictional database in 1990 and keeps loading in real players until 2023. Probably the most fun database ive seen up until this point

I think aspects of the initial database were sadly incorrect. One thing I noticed was that Derby were in League One, whereas IRL in 2012-13 Derby were a Championship club. Still a cool video
