Can I suggest you get people from the community to collect data for you? 10 runs from 10 people would be much more managable. Just provide a save just before the start of the cup.

Thanks Kev! One unexpected result was that FM outdoor predict that Zack Steffen, who did not even make the US roster, was recalled (no doubt due to an injury) in time to lead the USNMT to victory while winning “best goalkeeper” three times. FM is truly prescient.

The first one was a bit close, Argentina and Croatia. Gvardiol in team of the tournament, Giroud having a shot at top scorer. Gvardiol, saka, Bellingham as contenders for best young player, France being in the final the most times, mbappe top scorer most times and the one where morocco made the semi final too is something. Football manager not that bad at all

It would definietly be the most England thing to win the most controversial WC in their most controversial kit (although I love it and disagree with the hate. The shirt, that is). The thing everyone seems to forget with France, even FM, is the past champions curse. No-one's defended it since Italy all the way back in the 50's. Going back to the second WC of this century: 2006: Brazil failed to defend it and had their first of so far 4 consecutive disappointing tournaments. Italy won after Zidane's infamous headbutt. 2010: Italy disappoint, Spain win. I don't know much about the 2010 World Cup except for Lampard's ghost goal and the vuvuzelas. And that it was the first WC to be held in Africa. 2014: Spain go out in the group stage, even managing to lose to Australia. Germany win, but not before the iconic 7-1 thrashing of Brazil. 2018: Germany suffer their worst ever performance at a World Cup and get humiliated by South Korea in the final group match (including Neuer's absolute howler to compound their misery). France win. 2022: Past champion curse will most likely strike again. I fully expect France to get out of their group, but considering how the last two defending champions did...

Interesting that Uruguay, Morocco or Senegal didn't win any when they are great teams, but Wales, Poland and Switzerland 3 times (!!!) did it. I'm surprised that Croatia only won twice, when in real life they're better than Switzerland obviously, but also the Netherlands, Belgium and maybe even Portugal. France's domination however is crazy ! We are very good, but almost 1 win out of 3, wow ! And the Netherlands 14 wins is a lot aswell when compared to favourite Brazil and Argentina

Uhhhh wow... the first sim got three of the correct semifinalists (granted in the wrong spot, but still). And somehow, I imagine there's an alternate universe somewhere in which -- checks notes -- Fernando Santos starts Cristiano Ronaldo vs Switzerland instead of Goncalo Ramos, and Switzerland doesn't get trashed by Portugal so they can advance past Morocco. That's just bizarre enough for this actual World Cup to have been a thing, I'd imagine. Heck, the sim even got Croatia being unstoppable in penalties. Then again, they already burned out their two wins by penalties, so let's see if Argentina flips the script in real life...

This is one simulation that has aged well! France and Argentina are in the Final, and you have France winning it the most while Argentina was runner-up the second-most after France. Kylian Mbappe is joint top scorer so far with Messi, and by the looks of it, he's already done enough to be in the "dream team".
