@@Theskatenomad Yes, google "vale do anhangabaú antes da reforma", was quite anti-skater due portuguese stones, but most of the city would like to have the old park back, the reform was a R$ 14 million scheme for private companies that wanted profit with shows and kiosks in the area; but there was no need for that, since there was already shows, and kioks could be instaled without much problem, the fountains you saw on the ground I've never seen then working. So yeah, total waste of money.

This part of the city is really really dangerous, for pety crimes, cellphone/bags/wallet getting stolen is more common around the world type of danger, crackhead area crime. And with 10 skateboards in hand with friends they dont mess with you, only organized crime will fuck you up but you need a lot of gear to attract them if they show up and you dont have a friend to bail you out, nothing you can do. The way you did it with friends, is fine, you need to be alert that some foreigners dont view as safe, but most street wise people walk around everywhere alert, so ye is normal.

I would like to comment on the way you titled the video, presenting the city of "São Paulo" as the most dangerous in Brazil. Your channel is very well known and seen by thousands of people and some of these people may believe the title and, as a resident of the capital of the state of "São Paulo", I don't agree! In Brazil there is a violence yearbook, where the federal government shows homicide rates in each of the 5570 cities in Brazil's 26 states. For decades (12 years), official figures from the federal government show that the state of "São Paulo" is the least violent state in Brazil. To give you an idea of these numbers: last year the average number of homicides in São Paulo was 9/100,000 the state of" rio de janeiro" was 27/100,000 the most violent state was Sergipe with 57/100,000 consequently, my state has the lowest numbers of robberies, thefts and robbery per 100,000 inhabitants. There is no place the São Paulo police won't enter. I'm talking about a state the size of the United Kingdom. In the city of Rio de Janeiro, half of the city is dominated by drug dealers and military groups. where the police don't enter. In the few places it enters, it has to be with armored trucks, etc. Next time, do some quick research so you don't spread fake news about my city and state!

People are saying that SP isn’t the dangerous city, let me be honest. It depends on who you are. If you’re Black, you’re screwed in São Paulo. 12:30 This is the municipal guard. This entity was originally created without firearms, only using tasers, to protect public property, like statues, parks, etc. Now we see municipal guards walking around with rifles in their hands, man. The Brazilian police are among the most lethal in the world. In São Paulo, the last time drug traffickers killed a police officer in a shootout, the police went into the favela and carried out a massacre with the endorsement of the state governor. So he is right to use that title for the video. He’s talking about the reality of skateboarding, and skateboarding is a sport from the periferia here. He’s telling it like it is from the skater’s perspective, and he’s correct in doing so. Now, if you want to choose the perspective of Faria Lima or Pinheiros, that’s fine. @ In fact I was wrong… Guinnes uses sea level as a measurement, in other words, the highest skate park in the world is in La Paz - Bolivia, the skate park I was referring to is recognized by Guinnes as the tallest IN A BUILDING. The space is not very big, but the feeling of skateboarding so many meters away is sensational, in addition, the place is surrounded by windows so we can see the view of São Paulo.
