I Skipped 99 Years for Rare Pokemon in The Safari Zone - Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver

This video shows how to perform the Battery/Cornn Berry/however it's getting called skip in Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver.

Forgot to mention this: The result of success by doing this skip is that every area you placed outside levels up to the max level in an instant! The max level multiplys a block by 7 so one equal seven of itself

a bit late to the party but i have a question..so if i want a pokemon that needs 26 peak blocks..do i have to put 26 or 4 will do cause 4x7 is 28?

@@reaper2211 If you preform this guide, your block level will be max each means that one block is equal to 7 of itself, math out the points corrosponding with information online on serebii/bulbapadia on the target's block points requirement. 4 times 7 is 28 and that would mean that in peak block value is 28 in those conditions

@@reaper2211 I would try again and be fast and precise with the steps. I have no exact knowledge to why it happens. If you ain't motivated for a 2nd try you can use script via PKSM downloaded on a cfw 3ds it is also a way not many are aware is optional

Dude, thank you so much for this video. I've been levelling up my areas/objects the legitimate way since friggin' April, and I was starting to get really annoyed by the whole thing. I tried the "change clock to 23:59, load game before 0:00, wait until 0:01, save, rinse and repeat" trick with my DS Lite (didn't even bother trying with my 3DS) to force the counter to advance one day at a time, but I couldn't get it to work no matter what. The method you showed in this video worked flawlessly, and it is such a relief to finally have the whole damn Safari Zone maxed out and never having to worry about it again lmao. Seriously, you're a lifesaver!

This works!!! I had only one problem on the last step. During the last step I set up everything the same way as the creator but when I opened the game to check for the berry it was still there. I turned off the game and took out the battery for another 10 seconds and tried everything the same again and the berry was gone. Also if you need one of the berries in this video go to the juggler in Fuchsia city and trade shards. Hope that helps someone :)

@@ethanjuilan5238 try again, i suggest being quick on the last steps as I myself had a few fail attempts to make the skip for the recording had to do a couple of tries on camera and wait. On the 3rd attempt to capture the skip success on camera I decided to be fast on the steps and not lag behind. Keep track on when you saved after you planted can work I belive

Did this on my old DS Phat and it worked second try. I had to re-start the whole trick when my first berry plant didn't disappear, but it works with the Nomel Berry. I even put the game card in a 3DS after doing the trick and still saw stuff like Sealeo and Metang in the Mountain area. I also confirmed the buffs stay even if you swap an area out and put it back in later, with the Mountain. So after the trick is done, you can play with any DS or 3DS, and can swap an area out without fear of losing your upgrades!

Still works 10/25/2024 in SoulSilver on a DS Lite. I used a Nomel berry. I tried with a Cornn berry, but it failed to fast forward time even though the tree disappeared. You can move your game to a 3DS afterwards. Your safari zone will remain leveled. Thank you!

Worked for me too! DS phat, english HG cartridge (not that this matters) A few notes: I had failed an attempt before, but because I accidentally planted another berry beforehand, so be aware. Also the "don't take off the cartridge" doesn't apply for the whole 24h wait time (I don't think you meant it that way, just for the parts where you pull the battery out and put it back in, but if anyone else needs clarification). I took out the cartridge during the wait time by accident, but entered the game and saved again, but it probably doesn't matter.

It works! it is really necessary to wait 24 hours for the database to understand. The logic is simple you tell her the first time you are in 2099 in the initial system, due to the bug returning to the year 2000 in the game you wait 1 minute to save the data and plant the berry. on 01/01/2000. when you wait 24hrs it understands that it is the second day of the year 2000, so you save in the first minute of the day 02/01/2000 theoretically. restart the system, if you don't wait 24hrs when the clock changes to 00 on the second restart the system will still understand that it is in the same year because the save will still be on 01/01/2000. the game needs to understand that you were on 02/01/2000 and went to 31/12/2099 or the current date if you want to change it in the future, the buffs will continue to work.

I am trying to get this to work but when I put battery back into DS Lite then turn it on, it just loads the game instead of giving option to set system settings. How can I fix this?

You don't need to play the game every day, you just need to leave the game in the DS, and not mess with the time.

worked on ds lite as of 5/4/24. I had to use cornn berry. i tried with one of the other berries for my first attempt and it didnt work. Retried with cornn and it worked.

I had put in an extra safe right after i planted the berry, (out of fear that i may have not saved by accident) trued the trick and it did not work unfortunately. I will restart the process and try again, i think it may have also have something to do with checking the tree around 24:30 hours later. This time i will try to be on the exact minute i place the berry 24:00 later

I retried it a day later and I was encountering gibles immediately. I got the glitch to work after doing the steps exactly. This guy just made replaying ny favorite game of all time, all the more enjoyable.

After the successful skip it is permanent Note: I also believe that even if you replace a max level area it will still have the leveled up modifiers when you will place it back into one of the 6 slots I might be wrong because I either haven't tested it myself or forgot about it being confirmed.

Yes, you can even move it to a whole different DS afterwards and the progress will be intact.

So as an example: if I do the first date skip and set it to 12/31/2099 and it rolls over to 1/01/2100, the SECOND time I’m doing the date skip do I need to set the date to 12/31/2099 again when I’m trying to get the berry tree to disappear? Or can it be any year after I set up the safari?

I followed every step of the guide the same, and even got the berry to disappear, but for some reason it seems time didn’t get skipped, as none of the blocks leveled up and the new Pokemon didn’t appear. I’m not sure what went wrong, but if anyone has an idea I’m open to suggestions. (Also performed this on a DS Lite, not sure of that changes anything)

Yes it will. If you are still unsure just place each type of block in each area you have placed in your zone.

Hi! I follow you on twitter to ask you what could have happened in my case, but there’s no direct message available😢. I did exactly all of the steps till 9th, then I did the last ones really fast but the plant is still there….. Already back to step 9 without problem, however the tree didn’t disappear and I think, as another sub called Nether, I saved after 2nd battery step failed as step 9 says, I think I messed up with it, right??😢 Anything that you could tell me is gold!

​@@harmelhg6149 just to make sure, do these stuff. Let the system rest for 24 hours untouched in case it got time blocked. Do the skip like it's a speedrun, stay consistant with the steps. I believe speed is key with it.

Sorry for the late reply, I remembered that Nick (the first tester) told me news it is possible. I didn't dabble into it. Here is the message: you can also just skip the wait time straight up if you have a hacked dsi, 3ds or 2ds where you can use hacks to change the internal clock

Sorry for the late reply. No, there is no game language barrier that only works for English. As you see in the video, I used a Korean copy. You just need to replicate the exact steps like I did so it will be more successful to be achieved. It's about timing etc

Interestingly, it worked now with a delay. I am positive that it didn't work right after finishing the exploit, then I put aside the game for a bit and now I get the spawns.

I tried this skip twice, but the berry did not disappear. Any advice? I was following the guide, but the berry wasn't gone on my first check. The guide says repeat again from step 9, so I saved again before re-initialising, was this my error?

The newly added 9th step repeat process is still unconfirmed. I suggest restarting the process and pay attention to leaving the battery out for exactly 10 seconds, be fast on the steps will do the trick too and keep a log on when exactly after 24 hours wait you can resume the guide.

@@nethermind2584 the contrary, going below 10 seconds battery and 24 hours cycle will fail the process. The additional thing I add is to be a speedrunner on the 2nd battery step, when I recorded for the video, I had 2 fails because I wasn't fast enough within the minute window you have right when you finish setting up the ds on the 2nd battery step

Make sure that after pulling out the battery, you wait 10 seconds before reinstalling it back. It did it to me too when I was too early on the reinstall of it back to the DS

Check Serebii, it has the Safari Zone info on the areas and the Pokemon that appear in them. For Shelgon, I believe it's the Wetlands but I forgot what blocks are needed for it.

i think theres an easier way to day skip the safari by just doing an normal day skip and then waiting like an extra two minutes or something along those lines.

You can actually time skip and level your objects by setting the clock to 23:59 get in the game before 00:00 and save after it hits 00:01 this is much faster than waiting 24 hours but does mean you need to change the clock 100 times.
