If you never grew up in the hood it’s going to be hard to grasp what they are saying. I remember a kid that hustled on my block watched his father walk past him everyday and cop from the next building. They sold it to him to spite him and he knew it. If he tried to take it from his father they would fight so it was to much. I remember seeing pregnant women and working parents buying shit all the time. The amount of people who were on crack undercover back then was crazy. Those were some dangerous times back then and you watched good people turn into fiends, people you had respect before just became total junkies it was a real eye opener and something I couldn’t wait to get away from.
