Its nice to see people such as yourself make things with their own hands and that they dont have to rely on others to do the work for you, as well as having the knowledge to find food in the wild. You know what I absolutely hate about all these "building a shelter in the wilderness" videos? ... No, it's not the stupid dog that is almost ALWAYS with these "wilderness people." ... It's not how these people try to build each structure, as though they're in the 1800's and chainsaws & screw guns haven't been invented. ... What REALLY annoys the hell out of me - is the footage (which I'm "forced to endure") of these people EATING... God Almighty - that sucks! To creators of these "wilderness people building shelters" videos - - Please discontinue showing footage of you cooking, preparing, and for God's sakes - eating - food. We get it - you can cook food in the wilderness. Great. Now, go eat it alone and don’t make a video of yourself eating this food. Nobody wants to watch you eat!

I can really appreciate your strength, and agility. Please take care of your body, what I mean is I notice your not wearing shoes if you were to drop a log on your foot it would be broken for sure. And a water filtration system of some kind! I had a friend who drank out of what looked like the most pristine spring/creek in the high up back country of Idaho. Only to get really sick shortly afterward. Come to find out, just 50 or so yrds up the creek, there was a dead moose carcass laying partially in the water! You never know what could be flowing through your water source! You definitely don't want to get the beaver fever! It'll ruin your day or week, or worse!

You’ll need to peel off the bark or your wood will rot quicker. Once the bark is off, get a propane torch and singe the logs. It’ll help persevere the wood and helps keep insects out of your logs.
