I Sold my Kart to a Rental League Racer

Juan started rental kart racing last year and decided he wanted to purchase his first kart. He bought my Sodi VLR 100cc and this is his first day in the kart.

I remember my first race... well, first race after about a 25 year break. I went from a homemade chassis with a West Bend 820 back in the 60's, to a Tom Nields Margay and a KT100 in the early 90's. And now, after ANOTHER 25 year break and knocking on 70, I'm looking at a Tony Kart. (pssst... how many times can I get away with being a "rookie"?)Tell Juan the BIGGEST tip anyone can give him is to remember that it's SUPPOSED TO BE FUN! 😆😆

Hello Alien. I will be getting into karting either this year or next and your videos have been very helpful as a research tool. I live about an hour from Newcastle and got sucked in by a 10min go on their rentals. Thanks for all the great info you and the others on your channel have contributed.

Yes, he's going about it the right way in my opinion. He's not trying to get an F1 contract during his first session but instead is driving within his limits.
