The dress is great. Keep it as a dress, put a dart in the back and add fabric so you can button up the bodice

if you still have the dress, a seamstress would most likely be able to add almost invisible triangles of fabric under the arms to make it fit you

I NEVER thought I'd be sitting through an entire non bookish/nerdy video but I always watch the ones you upload all the way through! I guess this is because of how authentic and unaffected by consumerism your fashion content really is. I always feel the genuine passion and enthusiasm you radiate when talking about the items/outfits in the video 🧡🧡 Also, I think you're beginning to convince me to be braver and try more colors and patterns after seeing how well you make them work! I think you should get the dress tailored into a skirt and maybe you could turn the top half into some kind of accessory like a little pouch maybe?

This was a lot of fun! ❤ I have never sold any old clothes though there are some boutique shops here that do consignment; I feel like they mostly are keen on vintage or higher end items than I own. I am currently making a little pile of autumn/winter items to bring to a giveaway for newcomer families + do little giveaways to local organizations a few times a year.

the thing that gets me at second hand stores and deciding to get things or not is things really can grow on me. I'm super undecided in the store, I buy it, two weeks later I'm in love with it.

Ah I totally know what you mean! I wrote a jumper today that I bought from savers earlier in the year, at the time i thought it was fine… now it’s one of my most worn, favourite items!

I think that if you're really excited about having the dress as a skirt, you should go for it! If you're just feeling meh about the skirt, then sell the dress as is. The wavy green print was super cute, but it looked like someone might have cropped the bottom themself because the hem looked a little wonky.

By the time I'm ready to let go of large amounts of clothes, I'm so sick of the clutter that I just donate them lol. It's been a while since I've done that, though. After a few big purges I've managed to keep my closet to a manageable number because I don't want it bursting at the seams again. Unrelated to clothing, do you still use Hobonichi? I remember seeing you talk about your planner in a video from a while ago. Getting anything this year??

I haven’t used a hobonichi or any paper planer in a couple of years now! I’m pretty much all digital these days - do miss the adorable designs, though!
