Tag along as I take you along for a ride around the farm. I tell you why I’m getting rid of my bucket, an honest review on my grapple, and cows!

I have an accumagrapple I bought off of Ebay, just one some one made, not a name brand of anything. But that thing saves my back for sure! I use mine on little small compact Johne Deere. Took some learning and practice, but it gets the job done, especially when it's just usually me by myself. Nice video and beautiful place you have there.

You are living my dream lol, I’m disabled now and will never get to live my dream, but I enjoy watching your videos as you work your farm and live the good life. God bless you and your family. I’m from Arkansas so I really like the content of your channel. Keep loving the life my friend.

Hay grapple works best when you have an accumulator, but that is many thousands of dollars.

Used to do Holstein steers like that. Fed them grain about 3 days a week to keep them coming up so I could catch them. Don't know how the market is for that now. They are used to people and gentler than beef

Never could see any money in raising calves like that. Your always going out of business so you always have risk of buying high and selling low. But just the return and the work would make it a non starter for me. Say you profit $200 a head (run the numbers for yourself not a lot of profit) and have 10 head that's $2000 for 7 ish months of at the very least 7 days a week once a day of checking on them if not more. Because they are money standing in a field and could get hurt or sick and die. Here is a idea for you to chew on. Buy what you want to eat but at least 2 or 3. Get friends or family involved if you want. Go buy good steers NOT DAIRY!!! Feed them feed everyday. Keep them till they are butchering size 1200 to 1500 lbs. divide the beef up to the people that want them and eat them. It will take about 12 ish months if you start with 500 lbs calf with good genetics and progressively adding more feed. You will have the best beef you have ever had and for a lot cheaper than the store. But this has a lot of working parts and trust in people to pay for your work and expense. But this way you can't loose money because you can always eat your way clear. You think garden raised greens are good try some home grown freezer beef.
