I Solved The JBL Link Portable Duo Anniversary Problem With Linking The 2 Speakers Together!

JBL Doesn’t tell you this! I’ve struggled so much with syncing my new JBL speakers together without the party booster or connect+ button!
So basically there’s no info whatsoever on how to sync them up together on ether parts, JBL tells you nothing and same dose Apple.. witch is stupid. It could easily be written on the back of the box.. or make a section where it says what to do if you can’t sync them. But the matter of fact is that there isn’t even a hint to it being sync able..
So again the big companies is being lazy and causing a lot of problems for the buyers, I will ofcorse do my part and head back to the stores I’ve talked with and tell them my solution.. cause I’m sure more people will be asking the same as I did..
Anyway.. all you got to do if you have a newer phone (Apple) with Apple AirPlay 2 MAKE SURE YOUR CONNECTED TO YOUR WIFI! And both speakers should be click able as sync speakers after everything is set up.. if you’re on Bluetooth it won’t work as Apple and Android likes to keep technology stuck in the Stone Age.. so if nobody asks for a upgraded Bluetooth system so you can play to multiple speakers only through Bluetooth.. it will be kept as it is today for as long as the big companies can get away with!!
FYI: We have the technology.. it’s just not given to us, and only by speaking up we will be able to change that!! Speak up and let’s get some WORKING Technology out to the public!

I have noticed that things seem to become much worse as time passes on ! I am talking from UX and usability perspective, THIS is the most BASIC thing that should be like the main thing . Firstly there should be a BIG physical button to sync them regardless of internet or no internet, this was my assumption. Secondly, as you clearly pointed out *requires internet connection ! Thanks for sharing this, I am thinking of getting a pair for my TV for a much nicer experience than the far sound bar

I figured out how to connect both speakers via Bluetooth. First, I grouped them in the Google Home app by assigning them to the same "room" and creating an audio pair (found under "Audio" -> "General"). The pair then appeared as a single device, like "Bedroom pair." In the same "Audio" -> "General" section, there's an option for "Paired Bluetooth devices," where you can click "Enable pairing mode" to link the speakers as one Bluetooth device. I also noticed a high minimum volume issue when using Wi-Fi. On Spotify via Google cast, even a 3% volume level sounded like 30% in Bluetooth mode. Additionally, after reboot speakers will not work in Bluetooth mode without a Wi-Fi connection, limiting their portability. Additionally, the "Let others control your cast media" option under "Recognition and sharing" must be enabled for the speakers to allow me to reconnect to them.

@@fillinis5851 yeah not really sure what jbl was thinking but it seems like a project that didn’t go very far, they should go back to the pair button 😅 that would fix it all but they started something they in general didn’t have a planned solution for. A lot of here and there,. Personally they linked up great for me but now they are simply just in the kitchen looking pretty 🙂

They both need to be connected to the Google home and then they will show as AirPlay available as a dual, I tried my best figuring it out but best would be to get jbl to actually show you/us how it’s supposed to work as they created them

@@cgd999 I remember that if you hold down the Airpay button you should get more options , if both speakers is available there in theory you should be able to select them both :) try that,. It’s awhile ago I used these speakers and I’m still struggling with them, my problem now is that I got a new internet and resetting them is a real pain in the neck, I made a part two to this video I believe, it’s a very few that have this issue as most who brought them is android users and for them they have dual connection through Bluetooth so they don’t have to use the internet or the bypass method we need to :) it’s sad but it’s in general jbl and googles responsibility to make their stuff work for all platforms:)

In my honest opinion their sound if clean and great for their area of use, it will probably not work as great as part speakers and I wish they had more bass, but for the price tag on at least mine I’m more than happy with their quality and sound

Not sure about that actually, whorls think there is a program or something you can download to get duel speakers work, I don’t use windows to other things than games and livestreams so never used speakers on windows, but I’m sure you’ll find something :3

Hi, would you help me and teach me how to connect just one to my iPhone via Bluetooth! I am freaking out trying to understand how to pair it. I’ve done it once but now I can’t pair it anymore. I also can’t do it on android

Look for a reset combination or poke hole, make sure you don’t stab the mic.. than remove the item from the bt list, refresh and make sure they have power and they should pop up as normal as these are nothing more than a couple of JBL speakers. If it still doesn’t work let me know and I’ll be looking into it shortly, and if needed I’ll make a video more in depth

Thanks for the vid! If you use with Spotify, you can choose both speakers, but only one works. In Apple Music both works perfectly. Do you have a solution for that?!

Whello :) Thanks for the comment, I just made a real time Tutorial for these speakers where they both and other devices successfully worked just fine, should be easy to follow. Have you made sure both speakers is connected to you google home app? If not that’s your issue, that’s also in the video Other than that it might be you haven’t pulled down your AirPlay and selected both speakers while you’re playing a song,. :) Hope you’re figuring it out, in one way or another, I’ll see if I can get a better video made later if it’s still hard to follow along

Pretty sure android has duel sound/ duel mode when it comes to Bluetooth speakers, this video is mainly about how to get them to work on IOS devices cause nobody had any videos made about that but plenty on android tutorials.. Hello. In the Google Home I set up both speakers separately first and after I was able to connect to each other. After that I was curious about the bluetooth and the group name appeared in the bluetooth list. Click on that and magic !!!! Both speakers working great on bluetooth.

I've just bought a pair of these, really impressed with the build and sound quality but the connectivity is utter garbage Get them setup and working casting from youtube on my laptop then after about 5 minutes it loses the right channel. I then have to hard reset the speaker and go through the whole setup process again Just dont understand how they can be this bad 😔

It’s not the speakers.. most devices has a main contacting device and a additional device if you don’t force them to both be main they will eventually prioritise the first you connected

You could try, make sure they both connect to the same internet and see if your Aiplay2 finds them both,, make sure you have them both connected to your phone with Bluetooth first

What you want to do on Spotify is play a song on your phone speakers, than pull down your task menu where it says playing in the upper right corner you can click on the triangle with the rings above it and all your speakers should appear, you can then click on multiple speakers and they should both connect,. If it still doesn’t work wait for my video

Just because you don’t understand what I explained in the video dose not make it a fake video,. It’s pretty simple. 1. Turn them both on 2. Click on the Bluetooth icon on both 3. Connect them to you phone (Yes both of them even if it doesn’t look or pop up as them both being connected at the same time) 4. Once they are linked to your phone once, pull down the task menu and click AirPlay 5. You might have to Click on the speakers and tv 6. Fast click on both speakers and they should both be playing. If you’re still not getting it a video is coming soon
