What people who doesn't fight behind the screen doesn't understand is that the one with no sound is the one that hurts the most because the muscle and bones absorbs the impact, not the surface area. Clapping your hands for example, loud, doesn't hurt. Here, make your forearms into an X shape, and hit the 2 wrist bones together as hard as you do when clapping your hands. Yeah.

I think the criticism stems from Yakkao posting clips titled "Duangdawnoi DESTROYS 215lbs man", in which the clips often show an amateur tagging her with something light, then her answering with a snappy combo, which appears at a higher intensity than the amateur sparring partner, making it look like she's upping the intensity because her ego got hurt when she got tagged by an amateur. Like you said, short form content doesn't show that her style is simply that explosive and that her return combos weren't an escalation of intensity. Like she says, with shin pads, often softer kicks with less weight put behind it still yields loud sounds, which looks worse when her form is simply that explosive and snappy. Edit: What I'm tryna say is that based on this video and Tino's account, despite how it may appear in shorts, it looks like she's still taking care of people that spar with her and not trying to hurt them out of spite.
@hassansyed608710 ай бұрын
That's exactly right. She overdoes it every combo. She has to be more aggressive simply because of the whole "man vs woman" situation whereby she feels the need to match the energy of the preemptively stronger man. She'll snap kick but it won't really hit like she thinks it does.
@thatdude88849 ай бұрын
I understand your point, but I also believe there's a difference between power and intensity. If she goes excessively fast compared to the other's pace she should slow some

Whats funny is that good Muay Thai fighters do spar really hard but not to harm. I mean just watch Saenchai and Buakaw going at each other, somtimes they kick HARD really HARD but they know other gonna block or parry easily, it's almost an art itself. That why i love watching Muay Thai even tho i dont practice muay thai, i feel like i'm watching art, not fight.

well, it IS a traditional martial art, despite whites tending to practice it as a sport. Monks do Muay Thai, for the same reason monks at the Shaolin Temple do Kung Fu. There's intellect and spirituality to it, if you're doing it right. You're supposed to do a spiritual ceremony before sparring, for example. And done properly, there is meditation etc. 🙂

@@patmanpatmanson "Sadly, even the lightest sparring is very bad for your brain and CTE is the worst ailment imaginable." Yeha, that's one of many reasons why we go light in sparring in real martial arts. (though many white people practice it as a sport, MT is actually a traditional martial art, with intellect and spirituality.) And for those who think that doesn't train you to fight on the street, I'm here to tell you that I learned ITF TKD with only light contact sparring, and all the times I have needed it in real self defense scenarios, which has happened several times now, it's been there for me! But yeah I agree, traditionally it's very light contact when you're sparring. Full speed, but light contact. 🙂
@neutrino78x7 ай бұрын
@@patmanpatmanson hmm well if it's proper light sparring, and they strike the head, they should be barely touching it. That's how we did it in ITF Taekwondo. Control is a big part of real martial arts. If you practice it as a sport you miss out on that.

Too many people simping for this girl that aren't willing call out disrespectful behavior. You aren't fighting for a title, you are at a seminar with people who want to learn, meet you, and have fun. Remove your ego and stop making excuses like "Oh you think that is hard? You should see how I fight with my sister".
