So i was wondering, i would say at least 50% of all the worship songs now have the 'build-up' drum part. Firstly floor and snare, then cymbal and snare. When did we start (over)using this? Do we have to use it? Yes, it builds tensing and so it helps the worship but as a drummer myself i noticed it is used soooo much. What are your thoughts on it?

I prefer clear heads. I’ve been playing with clear for years. It’s not popular but I feel the snare is warmer and more sensitive.
