@@aquilanusUK I really like my layout tbh. I put my jump to L2, deflect to X, and Alt fire to R1. Btw, I did this for Echo and Lucio, and it REALLY improved my Lucio play.

@@nickmacon300 it's very similar to mine, except I use L3 for deflect :) You just need to experiment with your sensitivity and maybe lower the aim assist then :) L2 for jumping is best for nearly all heroes too.

As also a mid 30s dad of kids, the kids are liable to lose their freaking minds at any point. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to AFK because my little angel gets a basket, climbs on the kitchen counter, grabs a butcher knife, and tries to play “stab the sibling”. So I can turn from adequate to turdonator at any given point. Maybe that’s why I’ve laughed so hard at this vod.

To be fair, QP is an absolute free for all, it has no rules, players do whatever and people tend to either overcommit over anything or are absolutely sleeping with their games on. I'll never forget back in season 3 when I played a QP match as Tracer, and had to deal trhoughout the whole game with 3+ people chasing me to the end of the map, including one support and one tank, while my team somehow would lose 5v3 and still trash talk me.

The aim assist sucks in my opinion ( at least in overwatch). I used to play ps4 and i just took it off. i find it does more bad than good especially on hero's like widowmaker and mccree when headshots are key

Nothing to do with the TV. It seems that a lot of console players (regardless of what hero they play) don't adjust the settings. So many play on default button layout, which on PlayStation at least can be finger twisting af. I spent hours and hours changing every single hero's button config, and whilst I'm still not that brilliant at some heroes, such as genji, it's made it so much easier to play them. From what I can see of his game play, all he needs to do is adjust the sensitivity settings for both vertical and horizontal. Doesn't need to be a drastic change either. He can just raise it by 5 until its comfortable, and then raise it again, rather than just totally ramp it up to max. I try my best to let people know how simple it is to make changes for playing on console, but a lot either don't use mic or just don't want to try it. Oh well.

Unlike a lot of other game with aim assist, in overwatch it usually doesn't move your crosshair as much. It usually is more a slowdown effect as you pass over or near characters. That depends on how you have it setup but in general it's true.

Aim assist is really sketch for OW. Theres usually so much going on at one time, aim assist usually fights you more than it helps you. The aim assist wants you to shoot at the target closest to you but if you want to target something farther away, it usually forces you in the middle distance.

I said it during your stream and I'll say it again, sometimes the aim assist can cause more problems than it does anything else - perfectly lined up shot on literally any other target and a Lucio, Ball or Genji races across your vision (or any particularly fast character really) and goodbye to your shot. But it won't follow you actual target when they move.

As a console player who plays Genji in dive comps and against Bastions, I can say dash time is due to sensitivity. I had to crank mine to 80/80 to dive properly and make decent flicks. In comparison, default is 30/15 horizontal/vertical. Also for comparison, Genji/Tracer are my 80/80, then hitscan are 34/34, and every other DPS is default.

I can explain slow turning on console. Sensitivity is inherently extremely low, and most console players just pick up the controller, hop in a game, and play. I had to turn my dive, hitscan and Brig sensitivities way up to not be a train

You don't really need to stop moving. Just claw grip and use your pointer finger to press down on the D pad. Granted it's much easier on PS4 than Xbox, but even then you can always just jump and do it mid-air to keep your momentum.

As a fellow Console OW player, I can totally agree that communications can be a pain... but we can fix that in our own way. It takes time to figure out how you want to set up your settings on console to fit your personal needs, but once you do, it can make playing your role (or just the game in general) go a lot smoother. For instance, I put my most important callouts as Support (On My Way, I Need Help, & You're Welcome) on my D-Pad (I also have Mercy's gun switch set to Left Stick Click/L3, and Brig's Rocket Flail on Right Stick Click/R3). That way, I can still hit it while I'm moving, or looking around for targets. I also increased my sensitivity on my right stick, as turning around quickly is a must, I know. I still have a lot to learn, even after all these years, but I am getting relatively better in the Tank and DPS role nowadays... I hope. oTL

@@deadmaniac0472 Xbox One, personally. They're not... too different from each other, save for maybe their performances are better in PS4, IMHO, than XB1 most days. I don't really edit too much on most of the heroes settings (about 89% of them are still the same), save for my most used Support characters. I optimized them to fit my personal needs, and help me try to perform better during Comp. I think the controls are at least relatively the same, although I personally can't say for sure, as I don't own the PS4 version of Overwatch. But from watching StealthHacker back from their PS4 days on Overwatch, I've noticed the buttons aren't... too different. Then again, everyone sets theirs up different. I did mine my way because it suits me. It is pretty cool that people on other consoles are able to perform better with less input! I'm still just trying to learn to walk the maps backwards.
