Back in OW1, I'd run into people who would smurf gold just to grief both teams. They'd do stupid strategies that only work cause of the skill difference - like spawn camping with a pocketed Hog. Then they'd start BMing their team who's been having to take 4v5 team fights the whole game.

@@andreabenton7798 by "hostage" in this situation they mean that the two dps were actively delaying the end of the game, which basically "held the match hostage" and didnt allow for anyone to move onto other matches for 30mins, JUST because the dps willingly did nothing on defense. edit: like the match became a ping-pong/back-and-forth experience and was set up like that by the dps flats was pointing out :d

​@Andrea Benton Well that's definitely a risk if they actually care about winning. If their goal is to push the match as far as possible, then one team fight where your bronzes die right away at the end of the game is gg. Even top skill players don't win 1v5 against bronzes.

If you have 2 dps trying to draw out the game, the idea is to take the enemies dps and send them to spawncamp the trolls, and then everyone else plays a game without dps. Of course this requires basically the entire lobby to work together, but I believe in random strangers to also have a burning hatred for said trolls

I still think making reins ult doing some damage was one of the best changes they made. I’m totally fine with it not being enough to one shot enemies, but even 100 damage is enough to secure a vital pick. I’m really liking where he’s at in the game. The other day I pulled up barrier at spawn for my widow, let her get some shots in without pressure. Then I dived onto payload to get it rolling.

8:54 Thats caused by the change spawn option they introduced a while back. When the point is lost you can tp to the new spawn but since it was the third point he just got tp'ed to the same spawn.

Got my game hijacked by a Lucio/Sombra throw duo pretending to be randoms and just trolling the game. The Sombra was actually playing their role at least, Lucio has 800 healing after 2 rounds, had 1 kill and 19 deaths. My only theory out of that game was that the Sombra was a smurf and playing the game to their advantage but the Lucio wasn't and was just hard throwing with their buddy in plat/diamond

It happens more frequent in bronze than you think. Yesterday a trio with all 3 pride flags were trolling and threw my game, walking in a straight line not shooting and dying. Today a dps genji threw in circuit royal(I even have the code) we were trying so hard we were borderline 4v5 ing and winning while our genji was breaking the rocks around the stairs(lost game. genji could touch but didn't). Today another match on numbani a rein actively threw the entire game while me and the 2 dps had to cook to win the first round but still the guy runs 1v5 everytime. Sometimes tank players feed so hard that they start screaming and goes afk throughout the match(happened like 10-12 times by now)
