What an awesome review! I never heard of Swing Tweaks until now.

For me this is best app to use for "second" opinion of your golf swings while taking in-person lesson. Some pros are wasting your time and money teaching you a wrong stuff (I spent 3-4 months hitting the ball wrong way and it was waste). $20 per swing analysis is gold as long as you go to screen golf and tell what your weakness is (AOA, smash factor, club path).

Im not as down on the use of other videos to show drills and corrections. In time I could see them creating basic drill vids for various problems but those vids would mirror what they link to now. For me, diagnosing key swing issues is whats needed and what im truly in need of. How they illustrate the corrective methods, as long as they do, isnt a deal breaker. With that I truly appreciate your video and opinion and understand you are giving pros and cons. Thank you for that.

“Cheaper than a sleeve of prov1s”. Yes so is my swing that’s why I use Wilson duos 😂 I had the same reserves about it with not physically being there to see the swing or correct me on the drill if I did it wrong. Just gotta wait for next season for in person lessons again.

Haha, and just to be clear... it has certainly helped my swing. I've see some results (especially with my driver), but just that immediate feedback / coaching piece is missing. Cheers!

For "down the line" the camera should be set up at the middle of hand hub and at that level( hand height). If there was a laser on your camera it would point right through the middle of where your two hands meet on the club and that line will be parallel to your target line. For face on there is more room for error... your body should be centered in the frame.

Thanks for the tips. I mostly try to adhere to that, but it is surprising how just being at a different range or course can change where you are able to put a camera. Cheers!

I think this is a great review, I believe swing tweaks is great for people trying to get the overall swing down before going to an in person instructor because you are probably spending $120 plus for each session which doesnt seem worth it because you know you will need to come back at least once more for the same lesson because its hard to get everything right the first time and keep it that way.
@GolfOnTap Жыл бұрын
Yeah, great point. I think that is why we always see massive discounts on bundle lessons. Deep down we all know it takes more than one lesson and obviously a lot of time and practice to make significant changes. Swingtweaks does fill a nice gap. Cheers!

Great video, it gave me the push to try it myself. For the price I think it seem worth it. You still get the knowledge of WHICH swing tip on youtube to follow (yes, I've been there too).

Is there not a way to inform the PGA instructor the data on the simulator? Or at least have them see the shot shape? I think this would be paramount. Thanks for the review. I am similar handicap and also use Arccos and am just looking for something convenient to work on through the winter.

The opportunity is there when you basically tell them about your swing and what you tend to struggle with. I’m sure you can add the numbers there if you have them. I think at a general level most people don’t have access to that stuff though, which is I guess the point I was trying to make. Hope that helps, cheers!

I did end up giving the ST a try and was VERY pleased with my pro's analysis and tweak. I instantly saw a big difference with a very small change to my swing... to the point that I will definitely be using them again. I can't believe an in-person pro never gave me such good advice. Here's to going low this year!

Good video. I have been debating using Swingtweaks but was not sure how well it would work. For that price, I believe it is a reasonable deal. I feel more confident on using it now. I also have the Mevo+ and have not brought myself to departing with an extra 800$ for the Pro package. I likely will, eventually. I can understand why they use standard instruction videos. They would have to make a different video for each tweak, that would require some editing, lighting and setup to make it look professional. Otherwise, you'd have a lot of variability in quality for each tweak and people would complain about how poor quality the coach's videos are. This is an intrinsic problem with online remote instruction. Thanks for sharing though. Keep it up.

Really appreciate this video mate, I've been debating going for swingtweaks for the best part of 2 months. The limitations are clear but I think the video feedback you got was fantastic so will have a go. Will take a hero to stop my "cut" 🤣
@GolfOnTap Жыл бұрын
Glad I could help! It certainly has helped me, but it does boil down to our own effort to practice and make the changes (same as in-person lessons). Turning that "cut" into a nice little reliable fade is the dream. Cheers!
@ryanwalters6946 ай бұрын
I had a 2 way miss. Which all boiled down to my inconsistency. I wanted to eliminate that and would prefer a draw. The easiest way to do that was to take an inside takeaway and hit the ball on a slightly in to out path. If I don’t catch it on the in to out path, the ball doesn’t draw but it’s at least straight
@richg72647 ай бұрын
I hear you on the old youtube links they send, sometimes they are not helpful and leave you with more questions.. I did "complain" about this to swingtweaks and they did respond a remediate. it would be extremely beneficial, if the pro would just show you with a customized video of their own... or I wish there was a window of time where you can write a follow up question if you're unclear.

u had to show the Cowboys when they lost to the RedBirds? seriously? sweet video, excellent subject matter. I've recently joined an online coaching program, it's great getting a pro's opinion on your swing - dont get too caught up with the camera angles, they know what they are seeing. Keep at it bro!
@GolfOnTap Жыл бұрын
It’s probably the best part of the video, haha… I think the point I was trying to make about the camera angles is more so for the student. I like to be able to measure progress, and it’s difficult to achieve the same angle all the time and in different environments. Thanks for all the support, cheers!

@@GolfOnTap yeah that makes sense, does your launch monitor measure club path? that could be a great tool assuming you line up the same every time
