39:00 reason there was so many irradiated zombies is because you encountered a screamer which for whatever reason you didn’t take care of. Every time she screams she’ll spawn In a small mob of zombies which (may) have spawned in another screamer. The initial screamer may have been irradiated and maybe feral (glowing eyes) therefore she spawned in much harder zombies

Watching you guys learning together was awesome, thank you. I have played 7dtd a lot, mainly taking the best course of action right away, bc I've watched a lot of gameplay. So see new players solving the problems on their own and struggling to survive reminded me how hard the game can be, and how enjoyble it can become.

Just an FYI the zombies will always take the easiest route to get to you. So if the part of your base that you built for them to get to you is more fortified than the rest of the base then they will just break the rest of it to get to you. I say again zombies will always take the path of least resistance. (The reason they broke the support pillars made of wood instead of running to your cobblestone gates) 21:08

To keep zombies from respawning in the poi your making your home you need to set down and activate a land claim block. With the land claim block you can also pick up workbenches and such when they are empty

Green zombies kept spawning because of the screamer zombies. You have to kill the screamers to stop the respawn. It has to do with too much heat. If you look up Capp00 and Jawoodle, they have excellent videos on explaining things. Definitely recommend if you want to play again.

@@LowiiGaming Definitely check those two creators out! The green zombies are radiated zombies and they are a pain. Capp00 has a lot of good videos on how the heat map works, though I don’t think he’s updated it for the full release, but it is still mostly the same from Alpha 21. Good luck!

Every time you use a gun or bomb it generates heat, the more heat you generate the more likely a screamer zombie will spawn which spawns heaps of zombies, thats what is happening! ​@LowiiGaming

You guys probably know this by now but the reason why you kept getting overwhelmed by zombies not from the mission is because of the ‘heatmap’ mechanic. Its a secret mechanic that tracks player activity. If it goes above a certain level, screamers come to investigate. They are the women in the gowns. If they find you and you dont kill them before they scream, a horde comes. More screamers can come with that horde and that brings even more hordes and it can get crazier than a horde night. Use suppressors, take breaks inbetween killing zombies to cool off and never use augers to dig.

Great vid Owen! Just FYI (unless they changed this) the army guys have ARMOR so they take reduced damage, hence being harder. AP (Armor Piercing) ammo helps with that :D

By the way, when there was a huge amount of irradiated zombies spawning when you two were in the desert, there was a mini horde of screamers. You can hear them in the video, every time they scream they spawn up to 12 zombies (I think) and that is why you had an endless stream of them I have about 400ish hours and every time I hear one I start crapping my pants especially early game. Firing guns, having a campfire on, having the forge on, having the workbench on (crafting), and having the chemistry station on will generate what we refer to as "heat" once the heat builds to a certain limit it spawns 1-3 screamers who then spawn 4-12 zombies every time they scream. Just a heads up from a 7 days veteran 😁 love the video!

I was told about heat causing that in my last video on 7DTD but no one ever said what caused the heat, so thanks for saying that!. Does each screamer spawn 4-12 zombies? So if you have 3 screamers, there could be 12-36 zombies?

@LowiiGaming Yeah, as you can imagine, having 3 screaming together will become an issue very fast! Not to mention, they have a chance to spawn other screamers when they scream. It can get so bad sometimes that it becomes worse than horde night! I have an unproven theory that if you have a feral screamer, it has a higher likelihood to spawn ferals instead of just regular zombies and same goes for irradiated, again that is just my untested speculation haha

@@LowiiGaming It is a bit random... when the heat score gets to a certain point (between 25 and 100 I think) you can get either 1, 2 or no screamers at all and the heat score resets again in that map segment area... at the same time there is a small window of opportunity where the heat will not rebuild for a time period allowing you to go ham and attack them at full force. Must get those screamers down as they can call in more screamers and life gets just a little hectic :P I installed a 'zombie dropper" against my base for such circumstances.

Firing guns generate a LOT of heat. You should always try to clear with Melee weapons and only use guns in tight spots

Not a bug. You have multiple screamers going on. Look at the 3 chasing you. If you don't kill them and keep creating heat with guns they keep coming. Screamers can call in screamers. I think you can have 1 to 4 going on at once as you can call in 2 and they can call more. It's literally the hardest part of the game now lol

When you get the quest limit warning you can still turn it in. It still counts. Any quests after that will still give rewards but will not count towards quest progression. I guess they dont want people having the bike on day 2 or 3.

Instead if bars next time try using scaffold ladders, you can melee through them as well as use throwables. AND cops usually cant hit you with acid.

Always live in green or snow biomes just helps with the screamers icl I’ve been in the burnt biome for 30 days and I’m getting like 3 screamers coming every ten minutes even half way though tier 5 and 6 quests getting trapped in buildings with too many zombies to count

it is not glitchy. Generally glitches can happen in every game, but they are very rare in this game. You can easily spent houndreads of hours in this game, it will be worth it if you enjoy survival and sandbox games :D

Funny enough you can change between speeds by walking or sprinting for bikes but you can't change speeds on the bike
