I tell you what mate, as another Australian and Conan player, I reckon whoever designed this game know how to hit Australian phobias. Giant Cocs, giant spiders and giant snakes. The first time I saw a giant snake (entrance of the Area) I nopped out hard and didn’t go back till much later, and it still freaked me out!

You don't have to learn all religions, unless you want min-max your advantage in game . . . for PVP lol also, those rock monsters are called Rocknoses with purple eyes are made of brimstone, you can get baby ones at far east from a vendor for gold coins, then place on the animal pen to tame and feed them ore/stones to poop out crystals, stones, ironstones, and as well any of silver/gold nuggets from them.

It looks like you were using an acheronion pick on the star metal nodes, that will just destroy them. Same thing with a pickaxe. Try using either steel pick or a hardened steel pick. Hopefully the new journey step overhaul thats coming will keep people from finding that out the hard way.

Yes and no, yes it would have make my life easier to be taken by the hand but on the other hand (the one not taken) it was quite some fun to have to discover everything the hard way by trial and error. It was infuriating sometimes but when you find out you are so proud. I guess that in a survival game it's part of the experience. If you are told to do this, do that, in the end you are just some kind of factory worker doing his shift.

I really enjoyed it. I hope maybe you'll think about playing some modded Conan now. There are two very popular overhaul mods that usually go very well together called (AOC) age of calamatus and ( EEWA) extended endgame weapon arsenal. These two mods run great together and or separately on their own. I would say that they're both one of the most popular overhaul mods. I would love to see a playthrough maybe longer than 100 days lol. Keep up the great work

Very entertaining video and quite nostalgic. Try the Isle of Siptah map next, even though I have to say, you have missed big chunks of the game, for example the wine cellar dungeon and the underwater city are quite interesting. For star metal from meteorites you need hard steel tools, but it is more convenient to either break the cimmerian thralls north of the mounds of the dead and dismantle their weapons. Also when starting it is much faster to hunt sorcerers to get a named thrall (Dalinsia has 1/4 chance, who is the best along the berserkers you got) and you will need them to fight bosses earlier and safer. Skulls and captured sorcerers also give you acceess to legendary weapons and the black blood tools that speed up the game even more, like the thralls. Finally, you haven't met The Red Mother in 100 days there :D

I'm sure it doesn't matter now, but explosives will help you gather Star Metal. I typically make explosive arrows and just pop Star Metal deposits with a bow. You can also just capture thralls with Star Metal weapons, take their weapons, dismantle them, then kill off the thrall.

Not sure if you figured it out since the vid, but with Star Metal you can't shoot them directly or else it will destroy the node. Either shoot off to the side of the meteorite, or place a foundation to put the explosive jar on.

I tried to play this game a few years ago as I’ve always like Conan as a character and being able to pretty much do anything with a character and have hours worth of gameplay was right up my street… only the game didn’t load at all, it would crash continuously on the starting menu and I really didn’t wanna sit there for 4 hours for it to download again so I uninstalled it and pretty much forgotten it. Fast forward today and I seen some gameplay and thought I’d try it again and after a 6 hour download (a lot has happened apparently with it being a 150+ GB) I finally got to play this game! Up to yet it’s quite fun, the combat is a bit stiff but I wasn’t expecting it to be like an Elden Ring type game but I do choose my fights carefully being a low level. I’m not a fan of the crafting especially on console as I can’t seem to know how to go straight on to it without needing to continuously hit right. I’m still getting familiar with the game but up to yet it’s enjoyable for me as I wasn’t a fan of Ark (too many dinosaurs everywhere and it’s just to complicated for me to play) and hopefully there is countless hours worth of gameplay!

I loved this game. I played this game for like 12 days straight had a lot of pets, a huge base and almost beat the game before one dude i was playing with left my base completely open and unlocked and let all of my pets get killed and stuff stolen. I was so mad and my xbox had already been struggling to load the game so unfortunately I never built back up

The reason why you didn't get any Star Metal from the nodes is because you used a wrong pick. With the new changes, star metal can only be harvested with a Hardened Steel Pick or any quality above that. Otherwise you'll just destroy the node without getting any materials out of it. My advice is to move close to the Cimmerians in the highlands early (lvl 20 should be fine) and start farming the NPCs there. They do drop star metal ore, ingots and tools sometimes and their warriors and berserkers come with star metal weapons when you put them into a Wheel of Pain. You can then throw those tools and weapons into a Dismanteling Bench in order to get some more star metal out of them. Now you can craft yourself a Star Metal Pick for harvesting star metal and get a good yield out of every node. This also comes with a second (arguably more important) benefit: Those Cimmerians do also drop epic armour from time to time. You can either wear it yourself or throw it into the Dismanteling Bench in order to farm some otherwise very expensive materials for epic armour long before you're able to craft those materials yourself. The amount of exp those NPCs give is quiet decent and there spawns a named thrall for pretty much every profession in their village (including a guaranteed legendary berserker fighter and a guaranteed taskmaster just outside of the village, which should always be the first NPC you take to the wheel once you've set up your base there). If you're in single player, set up your camp north of the village at the stone pillars, so that the village will be loaded again everytime you run to base and back to the village again. This way, all npcs will respawn instantly and you can power farm all the thralls you ever wanted (especially the guaranteed ones). There you go. Some of the best tools, weapons, armours and thralls in the game just from setting up camp in the highlands and beating the shit out of the Cimmerians 24/7.

Check your purge settings....I'm not sure why you had two of them back-to-back like that. (EDIT: I see that you did do that a bit later on....good stuff!). I'm not sure why you were unable to harvest the star metal nodes. I've never had that problem. You used the explosive arrows to open their shells -- which is the easiest method, in my opinion. But maybe try using a steel or hardened steel pick first? Or maybe it was just glitched out for some reason.

As someone who has played this game long enough to get the best weapons armor and generally make a giant base it is very fun and it's quite fast to get armor and weapons I think the only thing that I would say that puts this above Ark would be that it doesn't lag the fuck out of your game if you put your settings too high

#AronAztek Gaming, I agree with you on the combat too, it has a more diverse fighting system, and since each weapon has at least 4 attacks (2 while just standing, and 2 while running) it adds a lot of detail and realistic feeling to fighting in the game, another thing is that katanas are very overpowered, if you hit another player with they normal attack you can just keep hitting them until they die, (P.S thanks for the pin, it's the first time a KZbinr has pinned one of my comments)
