Before reading this know I have nothing against content creators and I love this guy. They do a good job demonizing EA imo. They gotta stop letting companies rate games E and throw a literal slot machine into it. The new generation is gonna be chronically addicted to gambling and its sad. I have watched streamers get addicted to buying packs. Its not even about getting good players to help your team and have more fun its almost just winning the "jackpot" that they enjoy. I have no issue with it aside from it being a massive money grab and not giving somebody guaranteed good players for their money after a certain amount. You should be guaranteed a minimum amount of success after a certain amount spent if they're gonna sell this stuff to kids. How it is now is the equivalent of buying a new DLC and having a 20% chance of having to buy it again cause it doesn't actually work. Im saying this as somebody who struggles with addiction, not specifically gambling but I have an addictive personality. I didn't realize it until now but I probably spent 5-600 on fifa packs per year as a teen. I got ONE 90+ overall player out of ALL of my packs in my 3-4 years playing fifa. Games with packs and random odds are very dubious ways of introducing children to gambling. It is almost literally a slot machine. It's just click and pray... Sorry for the long rant but if you have an addictive personality or realize how life altering this could potentially be, you probably get it. EVERYBODY plays EA sports games. Obviously not everyone but what percentage of young men do you think have played some form of ultimate team with a pack system? I mean it's in every popular bball, football, soccer, hockey, and Im sure other sports Im not thinking of. Financially taking advantage of kids and putting them at risk of future problems is disgusting. Stay safe ❤ Don't spend more on a game than you are willing to lose. Treat it like gambling and if you feel like you have a compulsion to open a pack or something like that, please recognize that and act accordingly. There are millions of people that will support you online even if the people in your life don't take it seriously. Me included.
