So glad to see a cool intro and some fun editing in this video. To be honest I feel your recent videos lacked a little bit of excitement - many of us viewers need something poppy, something funny, something fresh. Definitely a step in the right direction, feels like old Hallden is back. Keep growing man!

I feel the same, I love the spirit of Kalle in his old videos, were you can literally feel his excitement about developing and learning something new, that always motivated me so much. In the latest videos this excitement is missing a bit. I think lots viewers have that feeling, that might also be the reason why the latest videos do not perform so well. @Kalle keep up the good spirit, you're such an inspiration! Greetings from Germany

Same sentiments here. I just got back into catching up on videos and I always liked Hallden's. I imagine though that it takes a LOT of time and effort to record and especially edit the videos to create something like this one, but I think it's appreciated by all his followers.

Kalle! Been a fan for a long time! and loved seeing your YT progression especially since I am software engineer who got into the industry 4 years ago and I share the same passion for trying things and just going into it(shirt making, coding side projects, videos and even sailing[soon I hope!] haha). You've changed direction so many times, maybe your initial audience that got you here has dropped off? The initial journey was about learning coding, building things and getting a job in tech and the it splintered to some hacking tools and then non tech related topics. Now the channel feels like we are slowly watching someones life go by which I quite enjoy the film making and music is awesome but there is no punchy content or direction. Hope you get back to the big watch numbers you had before. Love the content! Do a Sydney meetup next time you are in town!

It can be very frustrating but at the end... seeing the results of the stuff you yourself created is I think still one of the greatest feelings. Watching your Videos and seeing that other people struggle the same way i do gives me Motivation. It actually just shows that with enough effort you CAN even if you dont think so, and that can be projected to so many different thing in live. You made a really nice video and deserve much more keep up the good work!!!

Man this video is so relatable haha. So often on youtube people glorify what its like to code something and make it seem so fun. More often than not, it is simply a grind. On that mental fatigue you talk about at around 11:30 -- The brain uses 70% of all calories you consume! It shouldn't be a surprise that you feel completely exhausted after thinking so hard for literally hours keep going!
@ikirbz
@ikirbz 5 ай бұрын
70 % is pushing it a bit. The brain uses 20 % of the total calories you burn. That however is still A LOT since the brain only makes up for about 2 % of someone's bodyweight.

@@ikirbzfunny. I was shocked to see 70%, looked it up and found the same correction. It might have been conflated with an infant’s calorie distribution though, as they seem to use around 60% of their TDEE for their brain, according to the source I read.

Your brain using 70% of calories is a myth. Youd be getting skinnier if that was the case. Your brain uses like 200 calories at max load 😂

I'd look at adding static type checking to your project, otherwise you are sure to have many more errors like the function vs function() one. Most popular tool in the Python world for this is probably mypy

Hey Kalleden, I like how spontaneously you just go out for a run to clear your mind! I'm sure it gets frustrating when you're trying to figure out where you went wrong in your coding and not having a clue as to the cause of the glitch. Keep uploading more YT content so we can see how much better your coding is going.🎉😅😊

I think you should focus on the KZbin analytics app first. Then it could be used while you finish the time tracking app. It sort of kills 2 birds with one stone, while you’re building out the time tracking app you can be testing the analytics app everyday and make updates as you want/need. Excited to see what you decide, great video 😊

reallyy enjoy Kalle's focus more on the human condition of being a programmer then the programming itself. The coding is super interesting, but its the application of that knowledge and what it requires...being a human in a digital world.

You should actually do an App and try to find a way to make it available to others, so they could use it. In the end the problem you are solving is actually touching every Content creator and even companies they would all be interested in that. Especially companies when creating for example trailers for new products to get rapidly the general trend they are getting on the video. I know you know how to make that but in the end create the app for you then, change some parameters so that they become variables that are prompted to the user that has to input them every month or so. That would be awesome. But you should keep the email feature as a side and also and add the possibility to extract the database data for each video in excel format. Quite a lot of possibilities there.

You are experiencing the problems which are typical of a loosely typed language. At some point in your code the variable has been assigned a value that is not an integer. If you'd used a strongly typed language, then you would never have experienced this problem because the code would not have compiled without error.
