For the past 14 years, I've been fortunate enough to go to the biggest sports card show in the world: The National Sports Collectors Convention. On day one of the national, we were able to buy tons of cool cards ranging from a Tom Brady downtown to a Mike Trout 1/1. This year, the show is in Cleveland, Ohio at the I-X Center. I'm going to poke fun a little bit since if you know, you know. Ryan, save some for the rest of us? 😂 Kidding of course. For those that think this is not "fair", this is the National everyone. MILLIONS of cards are going to be trading hands this week. I've seen the footage and heard the stories of past Nationals and figured it is time to see it for myself. My sons and I will be attending Thursday/Friday this week. Normally I'd prefer to do this on a weekend to keep from having to take time off work, but this is The National. Plus, my boys absolutely do not want to miss Thursday's trade night.

These deals and the money that exchanges hands here are all for the show. We don’t actually see any purchases or money change hands. We don’t actually see any of the behind the scenes and the best is when the seller says to the buyer (with tail between his legs) tell Me “where you want to be on this” The hobby used to be fun.
