Agreed :) I benched Amber for the same reason I bench any bow user - I don’t like bow gameplay. And because the gameplay never appealed to me I never figured out how to build her, and thus she just has whatever I has available and does pathetic damage. Some characters are objectively better than others and can put out very high numbers other cannot even dream of, but a well-built character with a good, supportive team will do well, no matter what character it is.

Amber just doesn't fit most people's teams because of how niche she is as a character. here is some useful things about her; she's works as a decent sub-dps with energy support options if you give her favonious bow -she can headshot enemies to activate fav at will, and for enemies with no head, the second arrow from c1 or her burst's increased crit chance and multi-hit can increase the chances of activating fav -baron bunny give a good chunk of pyro energy and the delayed explosion could save you a swap cooldown so that you may funnel the pyro energy to your desired character. With C4 you can get 8 pyro particles in a short timespan and baron bunny's damage output can be saved by using burgeon reactions. And if it matters to you, baron bunny sponge damage for you and magnets enemy hyperblooms since target priority is lower health targets Amber works best when you need a pyro character to come in and out every once and a while, she can either do high burst damage with burgeon or support a pyro hungry character by batterying and atk boosting. Seriously, fav energy plus 8 energy can charge most pyro characters to half charge to almost full charge Bennett is a better option if you need pyro more often and quicker but will lock you in an area in his burst. Yoimiya can pretty much do what amber does better as long as you run her dps but her worth diminishes if she isn't actively on the field. Thoma is better for longer strings of burgeon activation, but can struggle with energy issues. if I were to buff her, I'd addon to her c2 so that her next aimed shot charges faster once after baron bunny is thrown, that way she can be more flexible in quickswap teams or have a reason to use baron bunny for the dps build.

3:35 I think what happened there is they were stuck in the animations which gave them immunity to poise damage until the animations were complete and Mona's bubble only pops when poise damage is dealt.

Actually Amber is the best choice for beginner archers, since her charged attack doesn’t cover half of the screen (like Ganyu’s or Yelan’s) which makes it pretty easy to aim

I don't think amber is the worst character I use her from time to time but she's still level 50 and I haven't really used her sense my first main team and everytime I say I'm gonna look for a build for her because I wanna actually try.. Im using Amber mainly for Burgeon... Just slap 4pc Paradise Lost artifacts with full EM and give her the 3* Bow with EM substat also... Pair her with Venti/Sucrose, Dendro MC/Yaoyao, Kokomi/XQ (Make sure to weave normal atk to produce blooms then charged atk) aaand ya got a full on mob cleaner in abyss... Not advisable for boss fights tho... I'm using Amber, Venti, Yaoyao and XQ... Just need to absorb Hydro on Ventis Ult then shoot the seeds inside of that blackhole including the bunny with ambers charged atk till they all die with just one rotation 😂

I really don't get the hate for her. Like, I get it if it's just gameplay but some hate her beyond that too, She's a sweet girl. Not a huge fan of charged bow characters but, I've grown to like her over time largely after how she's been with Collei, Eula, the knights and the traveler. Trying to build her bit by bit for this type of gameplay (baron bunny bombing) as I think it could be fun to do on occasion. C2 and C4 seem quite nice too if one can get them.

C1 gives her an extra arrow per each aimed or charged shot, this second arrow deals 20% of the damage dealt from the first arrow, but the description doesn't tell you how it really works and second arrow tends to miss on small targets like hilichurls if you are kinda far. I'd say skyward harp turns her into a 4star ganyu due to the aoe dmg passive bc c1 is more of a single target thing most of the times

It all traces back to 1.0 Era. They didn’t know how to use her, preferred Venti and Fischl ( later Ganyu, Xiao, and Hu Tao ) over her, and for that they consistently put her at the bottom of every tier list, regardless if they ever actually played her or not. Barbara got almost the same treatment as well as the rest of the starters.

If you wanna make dps amber you can go atk% em/pyro dmg% and CR/CD. You can ignore CR for more CD, but some enemies don't have a weak point and will make that CD kinda useless if she can't crit. I personally go with a 59% CR and 150% CD to not have to worry about not getting crits

That's low ar amber in a nutshell. I went from ar2 to my current ar57 maining her, she can be tricky to use and without c2 bunny's only use is to be enemy bait. Mobs push it around and the explosion won't hit anything very often. Burst can be useful at times, like breaking shields as example. But it tends to work in a weird way and not do that much damage after it's aoe increases bc a lot of arrows will miss. This leaves amber with only her basics and charged shots as her only damage options, physical and charged builds are the most common for what i've seen, charged being the friendliest option for dps amber bc phys really gets an increase in power after she gets c1. What is good about her is that she buffs her own damage after hitting a weak point, her c6 buffs and bunny's taunt, along manual detonation after c2. The stamina cost for gliding is also a nice bonus for regions like liyue
