Holy crap the pesticide seems really close to worthless or needs to convey that it is a *chance* to protect the crops and not a guarantee.

the fact the evolved plants were only barely better than their previous form makes it so much less effective to evolve them... just mass farm the first crops, maybe second because each was 2x previous fruit sell price+1 except for the first evolve, which was 2x +2

Yeah considering the time investment the later plants didn't really seem worth it. Upgrading two tier one plants into one tier two plant and selling it makes you 6 coins. Trading in two tier one plants and growing another four makes you12 coins. I mean seriously having to do a whole extra grow cycle for one coin on all the tier three or higher evolutions is a waste of time resources especially since the pesticide isn't a sure thing. Oh look the donut berry did 2x+ 2 again instead of 2x+1...still not worth it.

This game seriously needs some sort of rebalance or rework. Its just meaningless grind for no real improvement in the game loop. You dont really improve anything, and some of the 'improvements don't actually help all the time.

The pesticide is a percentage protection, so it may or may not eat one of your plants, much better than losing everything in one go.
