It’s scary, really. Data is the most valuable thing in the world. These apps prey on people’s need for money in exchange for our private information for research. The google rewards only asked me for one more survey (after the default beginner one) One day I was trying to see if my stolen laptop was on local ‘for sale’ websites. The next day Google Rewards surprised me with a pop up survey, asking me indirect questions about the laptop and why I was researching it. I didn’t expect it to offer surveys about my search history.
