As a Yanfei main - her best set is actually Marechussy if you play her with Furina. And she is very good with Furina (double hydro + benny if you want Yanfei to consistently vape) She's also pretty good overload driver if you have Chevreuse, I usually steal my EM pieces from Thomas if i'm playing that team.

I like Yanfei design, she is certainly cute and all but she is also an older 4-star Main DPS so she definitely seems underpowered compared to the newer DPS units and if you want her to perform well, you have to hyper invest into her. That said I do occasionally come across Yanfei mains who are hitting 100k+ damage, I played around a little bit with my lvl 60 Yanfei and managed to do a 50k nuke despite her having lvl 1 talents and artifacts that were ok but not exceptional so I certainly believe she is good with high investment but that kind of just applies to every character in the game (even Xinyan, believe it or not.).

I’ve been trying to build Yanfei ever since her Neuvilette Kazuha banner because the Beidou Xingqiu Yanfei combo was just super fun! While I wait for Beidou to be back in shop I’m using her in my Kinich team to apply pyro n give energy to Xiangling

I think achievement farming for namecards would be cool. You can do exploration while farming for those regional namecards. There’s loads of boss related ones too. You could make it harder by requiring you use the newly built character, too. So like Yanfei defeating all the local legend bosses. I’m trying to get the Second Folio Imaginarium theater namecard. It’s a cute cat!!! Sadly I doubt I’ll get it before Halloween. :( I don’t have Qiqi or Jean for the Envisaged Echoes achievements. I hope they add more characters to it!!! Especially Kaeya!

When I first had a Yanfei trial I was so sure she was 5 star and was so surprised when I found out she was 4 star but even with my old build, her damage is still immaculate. This might inspire me to go back and update her build to see what she whether she can do more dmg

(As a Yanfei main) She's very good for teams and I generally don't think she's overshadowed. I use her as my main DPS with Kokomi, Nahida, and my newly acquired Kinich (til i get a team for him and replace him with someone else). Not to mention I mained her since I got her because I thought she was really cool and I love her 🥰

I got neuvilettes weapon for him on his first banner, but now it belongs to yanfei 😂 I use her on a team with furina, bennet, and xingqui and it's awesome! All that's left is to get a good marechausee set (I'm on 2 pc atk two pc pyro dmg rn) but it still works great lol yanfei is amazing

I mained Yanfei forca while around AR35-40, even though I had Klee, but don't think I've touched her much since apart from IT. She's still on 2pc Crimson/Wanderer's but she lost her R5 Solar Pearl to Wanderer (oddly enough) but does have an R2 so still deals decent damage. Took her to 90 a while back & talents are 10/7/8 plus the boost as she's C6 so doubt I'll put any more work into her at this stage.

Xilonen can be a dps as long as you have at least 2 more geos in the team if you have 2 other elements she becomes a support. Though keep in mind her dmg is hard to get up. Me personally am gonna build her dps bc I like a challenge 😅
