4Runners are so good. I have a 22 sr5 premium 4x4 and it’s far and away one of the only things I’ve never regretted buying. I wanted something to own for 20 plus years and you can just tell this will when you drive it. So tanky, so simple, and yeah it’s pretty cool too. Wanted the trd off road premium but they were marked up so I went down one trim. Honestly I don’t think it was a bad move anyway. Thing is a tank off road. You would need to go very far off road before needing a locker with this thing. Love it. Keep up the Chanel man, love the content

Thanks a ton brother. Couldn’t agree more with the 4Runner, you’ll get anywhere you need to go most likely and never need the locker! Thanks for watching and supporting, much appreciated.

Buy the last year of a model that was produced for a long time. You'll get a reliable car built to the highest standard with the best parts and you'll get a good deal because dealers will want to make deals to get the new models on their lot first. The 5th gen 4runner is a masterpiece made by one of the best auto makers in the world that benefits from 15 years of refinement.

@@CarsNoCap I had a Grand Cherokee limited before. So I’m looking at a 2022+ Grand Cherokee Limited or Overland (not 4xe) , the 4Runner (TRD Off Road Premium or Limited) and then a 2023+ X3. I’m also a huge fan of BMW, I’ve had one in the past and really enjoyed it. However, the reliability, classiness, simplicity of the 4Runner is very appealing. And I also used to drive on the beach in Maryland with my grand Cherokee so I do miss those summer days so something that can be at home on the sand is a big factor as well!

My first car was a 2014 ford fusion and died on me within the first 50k miles then a honda civic with hail damage which I loved but lost money on it l(esson learned) traded it in for a 2023 ford maverick it was good then traded it for another 2023 ford maverick hybrid which I didn't dislike but needed something bigger for my growing family and I always felt in my heart that I wanted a 4runner for what it stands for so I made the jump to the 2023 sr5p 4runner while the value of the maverick still was good, bottom line is, we all start from the bottom and we make mistakes and are impulsive and we don't do research at first but we grow, start to be smart about decisions and money and its a beautiful thing

Great Tips. Im 26yr old big Fan Cars but most importantly Reliable cars. I have owned 30 vehicles selling and buying from Toyota/Lexus/Honda/Acura. I also have learned don't spend crazy money On the car on upgrades... the 4runner I owned I gain most money along with lexus GS/ IS they sell very fast and hold value. I did lose the most money on my build 2005 lexus IS300 with a Swapped motor spent 30k cash and I was still in college when selling was a loss as nobody knows what really goes on a build.... Now at 26 kept a Lexus and Toyota Cars I love, I bought them cheap enough I won't loss in the long run and don't spend crazy money on upgrades. Now I am all set in the long run with years of reliability.

All great points, still lots of tax money wasted unless you have a handy dealer friend or own a dealer license etc. Trading in wouldn't work either nowadays as the market goes down hard
@CarsNoCap2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! Didn't spend a ton on taxes because all were paid off and held value well, so after payingng tax on the first vehicle, then you only pay tax on the difference between new vehicle price and trade credit, which in my case was always fairly large. So buying the GX for example, I traded an $80k jeep to a $65k GX. No tax is owed in that transaction in my state. Most of the vehicles were similar in price so this same thing applies. Another example, my most recent trade from my Audi to the 4R, I traded the Audi for 41 bought the 4R for $48k so tax is only $7k x 7% = $490.
@Mark-rt6fy2 ай бұрын
@@CarsNoCap Make sense. Trading in isn't an option at least around WA state, where dealers would pay less than msrp for a 500-mile gt3 that was marked up to 300k at the time. Selling private gets more but loses the tax credit. I jumped through some hoops and got to know some indie dealers that would help me with either auctions or running private sales thru them to capture the trade in credit. It's doable but definitely not as easy as some influencers made it. My previous 3 cars have all been bought out of state and I flew over to drive it home lol

What is your ultimate goal? I agree with what you said in the video. I have a paid for base model sr5 22 5th gen 4 runner and a base model 24 g80 m3 . I am done with cars haha. I know you mentioned a 911, which I do think is the pinnacle of sports car but realistically it be a 3rd car which I don’t think I will get there. I spent enough money on cars. Owning your dream car is awesome, amazing in fact(m3) but it is definitely not the key to happiness. I don’t regret it but at some point you have to stop wanting more. Just my opinion. Also with the electric world coming are you going to join the party? Just wondering no judgement, like you said get the vehicles you love.
@CarsNoCap2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and the good questions. Also, nice garage! Love the M3 and 4runner combo. You know, I think my ultimate goal is really just to enjoy my cars and for me part of that is definitely owning vehicles that don't drop in value because I don't like to lose money. I also wouldn't mind having a 3 car garage with that 911 for the weekends. Lol and as of now, no I'm not considering EVs. I think they can work great as a commuter to and from your office and around town maybe, but in terms of any other use like off-road or road trips, they just seem like a burden and wouldn't work for me. If I did buy one though - I'd go Lucid, Porsche or Audi.

@@CarsNoCap Thanks for the reply man . Yea I think we all hate losing money but in the car world except for covid it is kind of inevitable. Cool video and hope the channel continues to grow. I saw a lucid the other day, had no idea what it was haha.
