You cannot learn to code in six months. You do not learn about dependencies and loose coupling at all levels of granularity in that time. Multiply by 25x and you will begin to be there.

This is awesome! I started as a teenager in 1980 and sold video games on cassette for £4.50. I'm still programming to this day. I also do an after school club for Y5 where we do a stack of Scratch projects. Good luck with what you do next.

Please be aware of the costs for chatgpt its pretty cheap (like $0.002 / 1K tokens "model 3.5 turbo"). But if you don't have any spam protection in place someone could spam your server with lots of requests and try to get that bill up.

Yeah the cost on my model is high so I have a cost cap set. To use less tokens I have stored a lot of the answers in a database and reuse them!

Personally, I wouldn't start coding with C. What I would do is to learn Python first, get good with that, and then start learning to code with C. But, its your choice, and the main thing is to have fun.

I couldn’t agree more! I was following the course structure but Python is so much easier than C. I don’t see much reason to learn C at all when starting out.

Agreed, but using C and other low level languages for a while helps a lot later on. It also helps you appreciate how easy languages like Python are!

It wasn't really his choice, that's how the course goes. First Scratch, then 5 weeks of C, then you get introduced to Python and JavaScript, etc.

@@ChrisHowett The reason they tought you C, was more for you to have a more fundamental understanding of how computers work. Like how memory works and all that stuff. But you'll probably won't need to use C in your career unless you wanna do some really specific stuff.
