I to love the southern part of Illinois. Went camping near Garden of the Gods in the Shawnee National Forest. A very beautiful place to be at. Next time I head that way, got to stop at Chester. If you like to visited things in Illinois try going to Quad Cities and end up at Rock Island Arsenal. Very interest place to visit.

@@MidwestDayTrips If you like military base museums. I like any kind of museum. I even been to a USA president 1st Lady museum. I was the only male there while touring. It was still interesting. I guess this Rock(Arsenal) Island is still an active base. Since there are guards at the gate while enter to the Island. And its not a one stop and see all. There are several buildings to go through and the base itself its awesome to be there. The whole Quad Cities is awesome. If yo want to look around beside the island.

@@gimcrack555 sounds great. we visited the cape Henry lighthouse down by Virginia Beach before, and it is also on an active military base. Thanks for reminding me about the quad cities. It’s definitely something I want to showcase on this channel.
