Personally, I think that some people do want a version with no entities. Some people want a challenge, so I think you should make a peaceful mode where no entities spawn, exceptions being level run for your life, etc. Also side note, it would be cool if the entities could hear your voice and chase you when they heard it. I've got a few suggestions for the game too! - Remove the Smiler's body on Pipe Dreams. - Make the Smilers on Level 1 different randomly generated heights. - Add new dialogue throughout the games levels and critical moments. - Make The Thing on Level 7 actually attack you on Level 7. - Make the lighthouse level on Level 7 accessible and workable. - Make every level have a door to the Hub. - Add a computer with the same password for the other computer in the Hub that details the entities in the levels. In my opinion, it would be cool if you did a Free Roam mode where you can play the game, but with no entities (for people that don't want horror). It's somewhat fast to do, and it might open up another audience.

Well wait for another Backrooms game coming, it'll have all the floors and as new floors are always discovered in the lore, there will be more levels coming out weekly or however fast other players discover them. Plus there will be Imposters who will slowly try replacing your group members or hide among the outposts sabotaging missions and you are vastly rewarded when discovering them or horrified when you find out they been playing with you all this time. :-) best of all, the Imposters and the Skin-Stealers have current A.I. like ChatGPT so they will keep you on your toes and can easily convince you they are Steven's from accounting that has played with you for years just like Amish Cyborg and Hamurai Jack.

I’ve wandered a bit around the levels, and besides the real plot of each one, there are empty areas that just end with an invisible wall, which takes away some of the uneasiness which the Backrooms are supposed to give you. (Thalassophobia, for example. At first I was terrified of getting down the boat and go swimming, but then it stopped being dangerous) I think a good idea would be inserting a “dead end” only on some levels, especially on the open world ones, where if you are too curious to get very far or explore some areas, you will be killed in some eerie way. This is like the poolrooms concept, but taken to the extreme. Maybe you can get “lost” in an infinite loop of that area full of fog, while your sanity levels go down. Maybe you get teleported to a small level or a labyrinth where you can only wait to be killed by a creepy entity (level Game Over, for instance). Who knows, the Backrooms are unpredictable, so you can’t know what would happen if you deviated from the “mainstream” way. You have to be always alert. Not to open some cracked doors or to enter certain, unexplored caves.

Btw, one of my favourite levels was the hotel lobby with the skin stealer. It would be cooler if the skin stealer tried to blend in more with other players, instead of attacking as soon as it sees you. Sometimes it should just walk up close to you with its iconic "Excuse me?" and then attack. (It would also make the feature more useful whre you show your identity card to other players)

i bought this game, and i gotta say, i wish he would add a “peaceful mode” with no entities so I can just spend my time exploring the levels. He did such a great job on them that I’d love to be able to just explore the liminal spaces after I’ve already completed the game.

Lore is the one thing the Backrooms shouldn't have had. It should have just been a mysterious, anomolous, spooky place beyond our comprehension. The more we know about something, the less scary it is.
