I tried it - the prestige isn't very good. The prestige upgrades also require gems, but you only get gems from 21 onwards, and the level skip doesn't work. Most of the time, purchasing a prestige upgrade will take your gems and not give you the upgrade.

this reminded me of a silly Flash game called "planet juicer". you set up a base, and have to defend it for a certain length of time to win. it plays sort of like "plants VS. zombies", except that you don't need Sunflowers, you get money from killing enemies. (i think, it's been a long time)
