i spent hours setting up lore in my save file

hello!! i spent 6 hours working on lore for these two siblings and im not even done!! i have so much more i want to do with these two.

I feel the town has in past been more conservative and just now started to be more lgbtq friendly with new quuer couples moving in, some older people coming out and maybe a gay venue (karaoke bar with like pride flags or so), but since Harlow is an og resident from the times quuerness wasn't visible in the town, she doesn't feel that safe coming out except to like Rune and Bertie. I feel she has only accepted being bi after breaking up with Laurie and because things are a bit awkward between them (breakup, fwb stuff), he doesnt know about it yet

I wanted to cry for you with the struggles with taking the pictures. It would be a lot for me to type, but I would suggest looking up different controls for things like that such as the "9" and "0" keys for moving the camera higher and lower and the "alt" key to move it around more freely.

32:59 I thought that the storage chest might have broken with all the glitches in the household--that happens to me sometimes when I move sims in and out, it will sometimes not let me take photos out or put photos in. If that's not the case and it doesn't let you put photos in because its a garden storage chest that's so annoying!!

Okay this is in the moment so I do not know if you figure this out later yet. But, with the ISO Camera mod if you go ahead and turn moveobjects on cheat you can rotate the camera in live mode with "," and "." Like how you would rotate them in build mode!

when it comes to cc usage,, i really think you should prioritize having fun and seeing through with your vision more than anything else! i’ve played with cc save files before and it honestly isn’t that big of a deal to either grab the cc or adjust the missing cc to my liking. if people enjoy your save file enough, the cc really won’t be that big of an issue! plus,, making a cc free version doesn’t have to be immediate + would take less time in the future than currently restricting the creation of the file itself. just have fun,, it’s your world and your vision :]]

i definitely think that chappell roan sim is a bit too spot on and it does look like a copy of her 😭 like other comments suggesting playing with genetics i like that idea, but i totally agree to keep the red hair. if you’re open to changing her fashion slightly so its still eccentric and colorful - like a different nature symbol (not a butterfly? something else? bats, horses, etc. idk) and give your sim their own iconic symbol! so far LOVING your channel, i have never seen anyone play the sims like you do. your attention to detail is so refreshing and i appreciate that your content is so long haha

He has a lot of useful mods, I recommend checking them out to see if any of them would be helpful for your goals! Also I’m not sure if you use MCCC by deaderpool but it has a copy sim function! what do you mean? sorry idk what you mean by shade mod!! i use skin overlays and a skin default (mostly all by lamatisse or sammi-xox and lighting mods - i use noglo by luumia so the sims are better incorporated into the rest of the world in terms of the lighting. as well as an edited version of gunthermunch’s lithium for CAS for my gameplay!! i hope some combo of that answered your question!!! :)

i don't think Harlow's gf looks tooo much like chapel roan but i do think despite the hair looking great, it should be a contrasting colour from Harlow's hair (even if that does mean using cc). To make her look less like chapel you could play around with her skin tone/ethnicity/weight etc, you can never be too diverse and it'll definitely make them look different. Anyways love your content and dw this is just me being super nitpicky

yeah i usually try and make my sims couples have different colored hair, especially with bold colors like red. i’m gonna look at my CC hairs! i def could play around with her genetics more. i was really happy with her but a lot of people are saying that so i will try it!! i certainly am aiming to have a very diverse save. i’ve made a LOT of “base” sims i haven’t shown you guys yet so i’m also trying to not have her look too much like any of those sims either so 😅

Try to only save your game when you’re actually in a household, (like in live mode) if not it can glitch your save and glitch a bunch of mods but you can fix it by “save as” and saving it under a new save and deleting the other one you saved while not in a household😊

@@silleepigeon Yea I kinda found that out when I got a pop up from a mod a long time ago when I saved outside of live mode and it told me it’s just most mods are made to be saved while inside a household and some mods might not be made that way so that’s the only way I found that out and have been doing it that way ever since

I think it’s cute that harlow & her gf have the same hair color, it could be like they dye their hair together, and maybe harlow learned from her gf better dyes to use and better ways of applying the dye so it’s more even or something she does look a lot like chappell roan, maybe try a different outfit because the glam one gives major chappell vibes, or like maybe smaller curls idk im in love with the hair😭😭
