I Spent HOURS Trying To Beat My Friends WORLD RECORDS!!!

In today's video, I decided to make a fun little challenge where I attempted to beat a few of my good friend's world record times in Mario Maker 2. World Records are very hard to get and even harder to maintain in Mario Maker so I thought this could make for a fun little rivalry amongst buddies!
DISCLAIMER I do NOT promote stealing multiple world records from friends or foes. One or two can make for a good laugh, but intentionally stealing as many as you can or all of them is just down right mean. Please don't do that. Try to find friends that you can trade records with and it will make for a fun rivalry!

First off, that level has a devstar or mushroom by the looks of it. Because said ramp has open spikes and if you look through the level, it spans across the whole top. Secondly, Carlsagan already debunked that running is faster. Sliding can be faster if done right. At least ,according his sub 20 world records on Ninji on the first map.

@@Helveteshit you got it the wrong way around. carlsagan (and everyone else who invested a lot of time into getting sub 19.8) correctly said that running is faster on steep slopes and sliding is faster on gentle slopes. the slope in the video is steep so running is faster

Fun tip Dave that would've helped in that first level it is actually faster to run down steep slops as opposed to sliding down them, makes no sense but that's how it is programmed.

You only need butt slides to get to max speed faster but its not faster if you're not immediately running after a slope, so only use butt slide if there's enemies to be cleared on the slope. Also press against walls to drop donuts faster, and butt stomps cancels can be used to quickly stop forward momentum which would allow for wall jumping quicker, because you can stop and wall jump off one ways.

I now believe that Dave has 2 other twin brothers. Dave himself is clean shaven, but then there is Dave 2 with a mustache and Dave 3 with full facial hair. And the latter 2 have not updated Mario Maker 2 with the DLC yet which is why we don't see the Ninji Speedruns here. Either that, or it's proof of alternate realities existing amongst one another. For the record, Dave tried 50 times on the first steal, and 127 times on the second world record, which is (50+127) times 30 seconds of internal pain which comes to an amount of 5310 seconds of pain or 88.5 minutes, which means sitting in a chair for over and hour straight sniping world records. We should appreciate what he does for the community and for the content he creates. P.S: I don’t have the game but its very fun to watch. 😂 Three cheers for Dave 👏👏👏 R.I.P for Dave’s brain cells who inevitably died, and yes, I am a nerd in school.
