Here to add to the 20th CB hype train. I recently finished it, and it has shot up to my favorite manga of all time. Urasawa has an amazing way of telling a story, and I think his peak, personally, is 20th CB. You can complete your Urasawa shrine, come on, it's only 12 chonky boy volumes 💪

It's a battle royale, the last man standing gets the to be the striker on the team and everyone else, if they lose, they also lose the right to play for the national team. The best 300 under strikers on the country are invited to the program, and to advance u need to improve alone or with others, it's up to you to follow ur ego, because the person that created the program believes that the best strikers on the world are the biggest egoists, that's his philosophy to football(soccer). U might be thinking I'm not a big fan of football, no problem, it's not that technical, and they help u understand the rules along the way, there are also very different types of phases, with different objectives, but all are related to football of course. What stands out to me is the very different types of players, and along with them very interesting designs, personalities and of course abilities. Another thing that stands out is the pace, football it is usually a very quick game, so it makes sense for the games to not be too long. And this might just be my opinion on it, but the art and panels that the artist is able to produce are very good but the keep getting better, they make you feel the emotions of the game very well. So that being said I think u should give it a try, if you don't like it by the 2nd/3rd selection, maybe it's not for u, I also want to point out that it was highest selling Manga in the first half of the year, if the numbers matter to you. To simplify it is basically a Squid Games x Football Manga. Hope u try it out.

Fujimoto just took a diff approach to the series & it's indeed not bad. Just a tad slow & a whole new batch of characters aside from Denji. People hate change, but the plots been picking it up and it's doing a lot of internal character struggle and etc. So just keep buying and enjoy the read
