on the dirty down paint, I picked some up as well and the guy at the both told me that you want to literally stir it before use, a bunch of gunk gets at the bottom of the bottle and stops the mixing ball from doing its job

Dirty Down paints worth every penny... You dont need a mixer.. just man up and go to town. Little hint... Hit the bottles with a hair drier first.. will loosen up the ball. Then shake.. and when you are done shaking, shake a bit more. Also helpful to warm up the model a bit first. Another cool thing about DD is that they re-activate and change properties with a bit of water.

JAY - Please read - Put the Moss and Rust bottles in your pocket for at least 30 mins before you use them. They MUST be warmed. Once you warm them, stir them with a stick to loosen the metal ball, and stir. THEN, shake the bottle for at least 1-2 minutes, if manually agitating. You can check to make sure that it is very fluid after you shake them. Works every time.

Interesting choice for Armada and Konflict. Which are indeed historical adjacent, or i should say borrow rules from games that are slightly more historical. The first uses i believe cruel seas, and the later bolt action. Naval games are often about positioning, which makes them appealing to me. You also have victory at sea as another good newer naval game. We also have blood and plunder, oak and iron. Age of sail, and rumors have it BFG is making a come back some time soon.

I hope you have better luck with Artis Opus. I have been thoroughly unimpressed with their stuff, and it's mostly on the side of fulfillment. It takes months to get the orders to the US and my order had issues twice in a row, it took almost 6 months for an order to finally be correct. Even when the order arrived in tact, my texture mat had no texture, it was like a thin sheet of mdf that was smooth. Talk about a let down.
