Pretty sweet features! That's a clean setup in the fuse box. Now I'm seriously considering doing the same with my fitcamx. Maybe do this when the homelink dies.

Ok so I got the 850 pro for like $150 on Black Friday and ended up returning in because it seemed like a lot of electrical work which I hate doing lol. This video would have helped. But after watching the level of effort here, I think I’m gonna hold off on this for now. I do like it though and thanks as always for the content here. Very helpful.

Honestly this was very simple to do, nothing was overly hard in any way. There is also the option to just plug it in for 12v power if you don't want to use the hard wire kit. As you could see though, using the fuse taps is very quick and easy. Don't short yourself because of a little extra time.

This looks great! I was actually thinking about adding one of these to my 2010 corolla since it doesn’t have a dash cam. Also, Did you end up getting rid of your Lasfit camera?

Funny you say that as I was thinking of getting one for my 2009 Turbo Corolla S too! I'm not sure about what the Lasfit camera is. I had a FitcamX that was nice but this is just a more complete system.

@@BrandonStellmach I absolutely love it. It downloads the videos much faster to my phone and the field of view from the rear camera is amazing and provides zero blind spots with the side mirrors. And yes, you can turn it off and use it as a normal mirror by using voice control. 😍

Nice camera but it’s overkill and is a pain to install. Not feeling the fuse box set up. I went with thr FITCAMX setup as it was much less inexpensive and a much much cleaner look. I don’t need another backup camera, I just wanted a stock looking front rear cam for protection.

I can appreciate your view, but I had a FitcamX and while I liked the fit, this is so much more and OEM looking since it replaces the OEM mirror. How is the FitcamX a cleaner look? The car still has a rearview mirror as this does. 🤣 I don't see how it's overkill either as it has more useful features like GPS, better security since it can record if the car is hit when parked and many more useful features that the FitcamX doesn't even have. This also downloads videos much faster. It was also very simple to install, it takes a little longer but it's well worth the time. The fuse box taps were simple to do and access is super easy, they also provide power for the enhanced security features that the FitcamX doesn't have. I also picked this up on a super deal over the holidays and it was even cheaper than the front & rear FitcamX unit. Even at regular price it's only $50 more, not that much more for all of the extra features.

FitcamX is nice cause it's a simple plug and play option. Backup camera - I think Jim meant it was the rearview camera for the dashcam setup which is a must have.

@@Wind_slash0 My FitcamX was only the front camera and I wished I had bought the front and rear dashcam. While the FitcamX was super easy to install and very quick, the Wolfbox is a much better overall purchase. The FitcamX doesn't have a quarter of the features and the speed of the downloads was so slow. Both of them look OEM as they don't stick out and look aftermarket. The Wolfbox also has voice commands to save videos while the VitcamX has a tiny button that can't even be seen. I always hated having to look for it. The FitcamX is a nice design, but it needs to be updated with better ergonomics.

@@jimsgaragetoys… I paid less then 200 for front and rear cams. I don’t need a replacement rear view mirror. And another touch screen to distract me from enjoying my car.

@@breaks_n_stuff4049 I paid a lot less for it but that was the value of what I bought. I've got a dashcam in all of my cars but I liked the idea of not having an additional piece on the front windshield. This is hidden and looks OEM but gives me options. I can use it just like the OEM rearview mirror or view it from the camera. The camera view also gives a wider view helping to seeing more from adjacent lanes and eliminates blinds spots. Don't be too quick to judge it until you've seen one! 😉 I like it so much I would like to put one in some of my other cars too!
