Thanks for the vlog. I think the reason why the place is jammed is because this is one of the few beautiful and attractive place that the Congolese people with low income can also enjoy the beauty of the mall (take pics) and probably get the chance to eat something different to the local food.

That’s why it is very important to have more than maybe 100 malls in Kinshasa to avoid this. The Libanese and Indians are doing their best and I support them really. But also we as Congolese people have to make it affordable for the local people. I’m sure if the government has the corruption under control and they make it very attractive to invest in Congo as a Congolese(for example give discount rates on customs for the diaspora and the government has a kind of institution who guide the diaspora) I’m sure that in 10 years Kinshasa will look very different.

Why cant the congolese gvt build malls and lease them out to congolese businessmen.After all,isnt the same gvt paying MPs 20000 dollars per month for doing nothing?

Hi, our government must first abolish visas for original congolese, de pére et de mére the current procedure is hard for us to come invest in Congo. As a congolese by origin, I can only buy a 30-day visa at the airport $99, and I can't even open a bank account because I changed my nationally. I'm like a stranger to my own country, so as diaspora, we need visa d'établisement to open a bank account which is the other barrier ,obstacle, so it is still very hard to come back to Congo,it is not easy as you think , this is only one of the example, many countries in world ,in Africa they already understood this strategy, but like usually our government never think to abolish visa for original Congolese 2. Our government must implement e-visa so anyone around the world can get his e-visa even from the bed ,the other advantage e-visa money will go straight to government bank account instead of collecting cash from Airport no countries in the world doing what Congo is doing.this will stop fraud ,corruption and maximize government income There are so many things that will cost our government nothing to change them , by the way all of these few example will be on our government advantage La patria o la muerte

Congolese people are very lively and fashion conscious even the children. As for those racists complaining about people from other Countries like India and Lebanon opening and owning businesses in Congo, the World is open to everybody irrespective of their race, gender, religion and nationality. We Africans must not adopt haterade towards non black people because of what w have experienced from other racists. We are better than that. Besides, any investment made by these so called foreigners can never be transferred to another Country. This beautiful mall is a landmark in Kinshasa regardless of who are the owners. Funny enough, most of the people complaining are themselves living outside of Africa in France, Belgium, Canada, America etc

Bravo ndeko.

@estherbop84922 күн бұрын
@mboseiyasmine34732 күн бұрын

I don't accept your comments Bro koz it's Xmas and also that's the only Mall in Kinshasa and what did you expect. Saying this is the 1st time you see a lot of people in a Mall I'm surprised ! Let me tell you the day Westfield Stratford was opened in London before the Olympic games we also waited for hours standing in a queue for restaurant and how many restaurants are inside that Mall !!!!.
@TsumbuUmba2 күн бұрын
I said, and I am quoting myself, « I’ve never seen so many inside a mall before ». What’s wrong with this comment ? I was talking about my own personal experience . And it seems that only you took it the wrong way. We could barely walk inside in some areas and there was a long line in front of each escalator. The mall was even closed to others. So if you’ve experienced this before, good for you, but I haven’t. So don’t try to misinterpret my comment and make it an issue.

Khomba ama! Tondele. However, you didn't get my point on Indians, Lebanese... The fault is not on them but on the Congolese elite. You were in the USA and you know the importance of owning assets and the economy (black ownership is only higher in Atlanta, Charlotte NC and NY). In Ghana, Senegal, Zimbabwe, Nigeria... Blacks own their economy (see Wode Maya and African Business report). Black citizens invest in their countries' economy. DRC wants to copy the Kenyan model. Kenya has a different demography due to colonialism that brought Indians there to work in plantations (same as in South Africa). We don't. So, Congolese must begin investing and creating jobs in DRC. Lebanese and other foreigners are welcomed in DRC but we are going to set a cap. We don't want to add a new Banyamulenge headaches (we are preparing a comprehensive legislation to make sure this country as it is moving forward is becoming like any other place on Earth under The rule of law and valuable for future generations). I hope you see it clearly now. I don't expect an alignment of views. Fyi, not long ago I've witnessed myself in Gombe an Indian insulting a Congolese "macaque". Calling a black brother names in his own country! That's unacceptable. In SA or Zimbabwe, that Indian would be jailed. That lady is paying a rent to foreign capital....no proud with that. We want ownership, Black ownership.

Etymology X (symbol for Christ, from the Greek letter chi (X), initial of Christos Christ) + -mas (in Christmas) Therefore Xmas is correct and is commonly used.
