Idea : You can carve or make a giant cog on the mountain near you. Which could be part of a shop, base, vault, or what I think is the best Idea is to make it a fortress with automatic movable cannons. You can either make the giant cog have windows for cannons or just make the cannons in the mountain. You can also make the cog open or make one of its ends be a elevator that you can only access. Tip with the mechanical saw; the way it operates it breaks everything "vertical" from it, so that it can break tree branches and custom trees. But it doesnt check if the logs are player placed or naturally generated, so if you want to chop an entire forest at once, all you have to do is place logs between all the trees going upwards, and chop the bottom most log. Technically, all the trees are counted as branches of the bottom tree, so it gets rid of all of them!

There is actually a trick whwre if you place your door in the open position, by putting you back up against the wall, zombies cant break them

You can try placing doors that are open for Minecraft (F3) but look closed. Just place them from the side rather front, and that will prevent zombies and other mobs from breaking them.

Since you have the Carryon mod, you should go rescue the Allay at your old base sometime. Also you can use the Knives to harvest more mob drops. I'm not sure if it works for BOTH hostiles and passive mobs, but I know for 100% that it works on passive ones like cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits, etc. Any passive mob you can farm for food/materials it should increase their loot. It also stacks with looting, so if you get a looting 3 knife it'll give you a TON of stuff, like 12 steaks from 1 cow kinda stuff. I would also highly recommend sharpness as the knives have less ATK damage than a sword of their material type and if the server has an enchant mod installed, try to look for something called 'Backstabbing' as it'll do more damage if the mob is facing away from you, likely letting you 1 shot it without a crit. Knives also don't do sweeping attacks so you won't off multiple creatures at once.
