এক ঘন্টা কিভাবে শেষ হইছে বুঝতেই পারিনি! আসলেই আমি যে কি লেভেলের ইমোশনাল একটা মানুষ সেইটাও আমি মোটামুটি এই এপিসোড টা দেখার পর রিয়েলাইজ করতে পারলাম। একই সাথে ব্ল্যাক এবং আর্টসেল এর দুইটা মেম্বার যারা আর তাদের ব্যান্ডে নেই। সেই দুইটা মানুষ তাদের মেমোরিজ গুলো বলে যাচ্ছে। ব্যান্ড নিয়ে আমার যেই দুইটা মানুষ এর জন্য সবচেয়ে বেশি আক্ষেপ। সেই দুইটা মানুষ একইসাথে এক্সপ্লেইন করছে তাদের ফিলিংস। আমার মনে হচ্ছিলো, আমিও সেইম একইভাবে উনাদের মতো ফিল করছি। লিটারেলি আমি কেদেই দিছিলাম যখন জন ভাই বলতেছিলো, ব্লাকের রিইউনিয়ন বা যা হোক কিছু কখনো হলেও সেইটা হবে যাস্ট টাকার জন্য। তখন। জন ভাইয়ের এই কথা বলতে যেয়ে ভিতরটা মুচড়ে উঠেছিলো কিনা বুঝিনাই। বাট হঠাৎ চুপসে যাওয়াটাই আমার চোখে জল এনে দিছিলো। জন ভাই আর ব্লাক এর মিউচুয়ালি ব্যান্ড ছেড়ে দেওয়া আর এরশাদ ভাইয়ের আর্টসেলে না বাজানো। দুইটা আলাদা আলাদা ব্যাপার। বাট দুইজনেরই আক্ষেপ এর জায়গা যেন কোথায় গিয়ে একই। ব্যাপারটা হচ্ছে, জন ভাই বারবার রিপিট করতেছিলো একটা কথা বা ব্ল্যাক উনি কেন ছাড়ছে সবাইকে একই আন্সার দিছিলো উনি যে, উনি আসলে ব্রেক চায়। ২/৩ মাস অফ থাকলে হয়তো নতুন কিছু হতেও পারে। বাট ব্রেক দরকার। বাট ব্যান্ড তাদের ব্রান্ড ভ্যালু কমে যাবে এই ভয়ে জন ভাইয়ের সাথে এগ্রি করেনাই। এ্যান্ড জন ভাই ব্ল্যাক ছাড়লো। এরশাদ ভাইয়ের প্রতিও প্রথমদিকে আর্টসেলের সবার সেইম কমপ্লেইন ছিলো যে, এরশাদ বাজাচ্ছে না। বা আপাতত অফ থাকতে বলতেছে। বাট লিংকন ভাই এইটা চায়নাই। লিংকন ভাই পোলাপান নিয়ে শো করে গেছে। বাট এরশাদ ভাই ব্রেক দরকার ব্রেক নিছে। এই জায়গায় এসে দুইটা মানুষের মিল একই জায়গায়। আমি জানিনা, পডকাস্টে এই টপিক জন ভাই বারবার রিপিট করেও এরশাদ ভাইয়ের মুখ থেকে হয়তো চেষ্টা করেছিলো কিছু বলাতে বাট এরশাদ ভাই কেন কিছু বলেনাই, জানিনা। এনিওয়ে, জন ভাই যেইটা বারবার বলতেছিলো ব্রান্ড ভ্যালু কমে যাবে দেখে ব্যান্ড অফ রাখা যাবেনা। বাট আই ডোন্ট নো, ব্ল্যাক এর ব্রান্ড ভ্যালু এখন কতটুকু আছে!! আর এইটাই জন ভাই ইন্ডেরেক্টলি বুঝাচ্ছে। আমার তখন ভিতরটা দুমড়েমুচড়ে যাচ্ছে যাস্ট। 😅 যাইহোক, অনেক অনেক কিছু রিয়েলাইজ করলাম আসলে। অনেক কিছু চাইলেও হয়না। অনেককিছু অনেকভাবে চাই, বাট কিছু করার থাকেনা। এই বাস্তব সত্য টা আমাদের মেনে নিতেই হয়। বাট কষ্ট হয়, এই আরকি। এই এপিসোড এর স্পেশালিটি হচ্ছে, অনন্য পডকাস্টে জন ভাই নিজের সম্পর্কে এতোকিছু কখনো বলেনাই। বাট এই এপিসোডে দুইজনই দুইজনকে উপস্থাপন করতেছিলো, দ্যাট ইজ রিয়েলি নাইস। এইটা দরকার ছিলো। আই উইশ এই এপিসোড টা আরেকটু বড় হতো। লাইক, পার্ট টু/থ্রী। বা একটা এপিসোডেই আরও অনেক লং হতো। আই ডোন্ট নো কেউ বিরক্ত হতো কিনা। লাস্ট কথা যেইটা না বললেই নয়, যখন জন ভাই জিজ্ঞেস করতছিলো দুঃখ বিলাশ এর সফলতার পর লিংকন যে এইটা বের করতে চায়নাই তখন লিংকন কে তুই কি বলছিলি তুই? এরশাদ ভাই যখন বললো, আরো বেশি করে চ্যাকা খা ব্যাটা! 🤣🤣 ওহ্ মাই গড। লাস্ট ২/৩ বছরেও আমি এতো হাসিনাই। এইটা শোনার পর যা হাসা হাসছি। আমার রুমমেটরা সবাই আমার দিকে থ হয়ে তাকায়ে আছে, বাট আমার হাসি থামতেছে না! আই ওয়াজ লাইক, আমি এরকম মজা আর কখনোই পাইনাই অন্তত লাস্ট ২/৩ বছরে। হেহে, থ্যাঙ্কিউ সো মাচ, জন ভাই। এরশাদ ভাই। আপনাদের আক্ষেপ ভুলে হয়তো মেনে নিয়েছেন সব। অভিমান ভুলে রয়ে গেছেন নিজের মতোই। বাট আমার দিলে আপনাদের জন্য যেই আক্ষেপ সেইটা সম্ভবত আজীবন থাকবে। আমাদের ছেলে মেয়েরা হয়তো এসব আবেগ, ইমোশোন বুঝবে না। বাট আমার আবেগ, ইমোশন সব আপনাদের নিয়েই। কিভাবে এক্সপ্লেইন করবো জানিনা। বাট আপনারা সুন্দর থাকুন। ❤😊😅

Ershad Zaman-the living legend! With due respect to all who came before and after him, our humble Ershad Zaman is the greatest guitarist Bangladesh ever produced- -for his compositions, his taste of music, his skills and most importantly for the feel of his guitar sound. There are many trendy, speedy, shred guitarists with technical knowledge out there; many of them are great at covering difficult songs. Ershad Zaman is more than that. Maybe he is not as versatile as AB, but masters don’t need to be versatile. Those of us following rock scene since the time of Azam Khan and Kabir Bhai’s Rainbow, having guitarist like Ershad Zaman in BD is like getting a sense of fulfilment. EZ is the true Artcell, looking forward to his future work.

You can never impose your beliefs on others my friend. You may be deeply fascinated by someone's musical artistry and that's fine. But thank God that millions are free to disagree too and there's nothing you can do about it. For you, perhaps, EZ means everything. There are many guitarists out there for others to choose as well. And for a big chunk no one can ever occupy that seat except AB. You need to stand the test of time to be worthy of a superlative attribute, my friend. Only Two albums in two decades aren't going to take EZ anywhere near that status, unless he continues to deliver many more amazing creations.

The only thing I noticed as being a kid from this generation that. I saw both the ep of shaju and Lincoln bhai and this one. In the ep of “Artcell” i felt bad to hear all those things said by Shaju bhai about Ershad bhaia but he did not reply to it in the episode or made any bad comments . Some people have connection to a thing from their heart and respecting that is just a humble man thing. The last time i met Ershad bhai was om his birthday last year ❤ wish i could’ve meet him more and could attend his concerts

Just wondering, we all know what happened with Syd Barrett in Pink Floyd and how he was abandoned by all other PF members. I do see some resemblance with Ershad vai's situation to that. My thoughts can be backed by Shaju vai's comment about Ershad vai in the previous episode with Artcell. However, after watching the show with Artcell and listening to their comments about Ershad vai, I thought today Ershad vai will bring all his weapons to throw at them. But he is so humble and paying attention that he is not saying anything negative about his former band members. Respect!

Music is kind of prayer for me. I’m 47 now and I listen Pink Floy, The Doors,Blacksabbath,,James,LRB,Black, Artfell,Arthohin etc And I saw all this band live as well. Becoming a quality music listener is a lifelong journey. It's about continually seeking new experiences, expanding my knowledge, and nurturing my passion for music. Man this was therapy just listening to you guys made me feel how original and generic all that music was.. As a 20 year old I couldn’t really witness that era more importantly i discovered the whole scene when 13/14 so by then jon vai had already left black but the music had enough power to fully orchestrate my taste and perception towards bangla rock. Thanks so much for creating what u did.

Listening to my idols. আফসোস ১ ঘণ্টায় শেষ হয়ে গেলো। এটা ৩ ঘণ্টার বেশি হওয়া উচিত ছিল। এই মানুষ গুলো আমাদের সময়ের সবচেয়ে ক্রিয়েটিভ মিউজিসিয়ান দের মধ্যে দুই জন। উনাদের কথা শুনলেই বুঝা যায় উনারা কত ক্রিয়েটিভ। কভার আর্টিস্ট দিয়ে উনাদের জায়গা দখল করা সম্ভব না।

To me this is the best episode of this podcast. Enjoyed every second of it. Ershad Zaman has always been unique. His contributions is one of the pillars that made Artcell the band that it is today. It might sound unrealistic but someday I hope to see the real Artcell again. Till then keep doing your thing Ershad bhai. Much love!

Ershad is a misfire of talent. He had tremendous potential, no doubt. One of the all time best guitarists of Bangladesh, if he was born in Germany, UK or US he would have had his potential flourished, but Artcell and the whole music industry in Bangladesh were not enough to enlighten his true potential. Ershad knows how much he fought with his family, society and the immense sacrifices he made, but apart from industry limitations he had some other personal issues which also ruined his career. He played some exlusive guitar pieces during 2004-07 which other BD guitarists were dreaming to play at that time. Best wishes, Ershad.
