Not to be mean but you need at least a 250g tank for a bass and cover I would say take the bass out and if you want a catfish get a yellow bullhead as they can all stay in that size of a tank. Also I don't know if you acclimated the fish or not but you if you dont know what that is its basically adding the tanks water to the current fishes water if you want to do it just get a big bag and put the fish inside of it with some of the cooler water and let it rest inside of the tank water for 30 minutes. If you release the fish straight into the tank it can kill them from shock.

You are totally right but also for a bass that size you need at least a 250 but for a smaller bass like a fry bass you do not need that much room you just have to release it that is what I do

A few years ago I caught 6 bluegill and they all died the next day why? I just put them in water in the tank what did I do wrong

Buy some sea chem prime, some ammonia, nitrite, nitrate test kits and do water changes everyday. I did the same thing as you man back in the day, but this will kill those fish unless you work hard. They need beneficial bacteria in the tank which usually takes like 3 weeks to grow. Watch videos on the nitrogen cycle. You’ll have to get a bigger tank pretty soon to. Native fish are awesome pets, good luck mah dude.

How long did the bass live for? I know bluegill as they mature will kill other fish. Bluegill are aggressive fish they eat their own so 😂today I just put a baby catfish in a bluegill tank but I don’t want them to kill my catfish because he’s literally just a baby along with the bluegill

I agree, tank is way too small for the fish you got in it. You would need a 200 gallon tank minimum for a single bass, not even adding more fish to it. Cool idea but sadly it will never work out good.

tanks way too small, bass will attempt to eat the other fish (and may die in process) doesnt mention if / how tank was established or cycled. If you want to keep a bass, id say 125g absolute min. 180g would be better. and they will try to eat anything that can fit in mouth, or that they think can fit. in nature a largeish sunfish could more easily escape, but in confined area may be too easy / tempting for the bass. ideally you want to get native fish smaller, larger native fish have much harder time adjusting to tank, might not eat, or if they do eat only take live food.

First of all...it's blueGILL not blueGAIL, I've never ever heard anyone ever call them bluegail. WTF? Secondly you need to have a screen over the tank because bass will often jump out.
