Question. After doing the 2strand twists, what else do you do to avoid tangling at the roots? I'm just starting out researching micro locs and can't see a video that shows how to maintain the roots from locking up. How do you interlock the roots?

I hope we get an answer because I am between doing two strand twists and braids to start my micro locs. I think we can interlock the roots but I am not sure

@@khaleemaalkainaat8178 I'm loving these microlocs but I want to find someone who has started out with 2strand twists but instead of interlocking the roots they have opted to twist the root as you would coiling? It looks good but I'm yet to see the results 6 months to a year on. Looking for easy style and length retention, with an option to undo the microlocs if I so choose with the least breakage/damage if I decide I want to go back to loose hair?!!! So for now, will keep watching but I've decided not to rush into this and revisit WnGs only for my go to style consistently till my bday (Feb), no oils, no butter routine and see what I get. I have been doing that method but keeping my hair in twists, low/high ponytail.

@@christine1962ful if I'm getting you right, you want to see videos of peeps who retwist their microlocs instead of Interlocking? If so, the check Khalila Teane, I hope I got the name right. Though she started interlocking, she switched to twisting her roots and she's I think 18 months in her journey

It was hard for me too 😩😩 I just parted it as clooose as I could 😂… I started with sectioning off the front portion of my head from the back (ear to ear), then the middle part (front to back).. after I broke those sections down as best i could and clipped them. The whole time I was using my phone camera and the medicine cabinet mirror 😭
