I stayed there once with my son and felt nothing but ignored by Neil who people said was so so nice. I remember him getting a chair for another table so he took one of ours but didn't even look at us or ask. I must have one of them faces he didn't like lol.

My sister and I have stayed there several times now and will be returning. Not only is it spotlessly clean and the food good, but the whole staff are helpful and pleasant at all times, which is not always true in hotels of any kind. Entertainment is really good too, but could do with a bigger dance floor!

Hello again JP We have passed the Craig y Don many times as I can remember Most hotels do evening entertainment and bingo which is good for hotels as extra income for them especially buffet breakfast But not forgetting your Director Stephen he wasn't far behind even waiting outside your window waiting for you Craig y Don definitely worth a stay there Problem is JP so many hotels and guest houses to choose from Thanks for your video

I stayed there 1981. Its most definitely changed abit. Back then we shared bathrooms. Unthinkable now, different in those days, you didn't bat an eyelid. It was a great stay.

Hello. Welshman here. Craig y Don is a Welsh name. In welsh the Y is always pronounced as Eeeerrr in English and the Y is also a vowel. The other two words were pronounced fairly well I liked the use of stills in the video.

Quality of the food is amazing. Meat always tender and all served hot. Fantastic range of deserts too. As for prices best to check their website as they have special deals pop up but if you book please mention BSAS 😊

This hotel and the Colris ( now part of the Craig-y-don ) were owned by my family for decades. Running hotels is NOT an easy business so kudos to the current owner who looks like she's running a very tight ship. I have heard that it's now under new ownership which ties in with the recent purchase of the Balmoral next door. Do you know anything else about this very recent sale? Nice video, takes me right back! Thanks

They do an excellent job there and definitely a tight ship. I left my wallet in the room and within an hour they contacted me to let me know. I don’t know too much about the purchase sorry. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Very busy hotel ..I couldn't get in for the dates I wanted for I adult and 2 children 14th to 16th August. Couldn't get in next door the Balmoral which I believe has some connection couldn't get in there until the 28th October..So I'm going to try the blenheim mount next door. Don't know anyone who has been there. As we always go to the craig y don.

Not stayed at that hotel but just returned from a midweek break where we celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary. How disappointed with Blackpool we have visited on numerous occasions, but the place has gone down boarded up hotels, shops Entertainment on the piers non existent or mediocre Blackpool needs to look at nearby Fleetwood and Cleveleys we spent a few hours at both pleasant surprise, Cleveleys had local people tending to flowers

Craig - Y Don. Craa eee g - uh - Don, that's the phonetic way to say Craig-Y-Don, It comes from the Brythonic Cymraeg - not this Germanic ingirlish 😉 "Craig" means rock / crag. "Y" means the. Don (singular) means wave (the sea's movement)
