usually you can use any card as your 'key' for electricity, you can leave it in your room and have things charging, AC on etc.

I think you might be misled by the "hotel", according to hong kong regulations, this is only qualified as guesthouse and operated under a guesthouse licence and is entirely different from a hotel under a hotel licence

I could over look the surprise charges but that's way too many roaches. I wouldn't sleep there. But you're young and brave and that's great.

OMG! You should also avoid so-called youth hostels in Wanchai, Jordan, and other areas. They are even much more terrible.

- I don't remember the details. It was close to 300 USD for a week.. It was on booking.com..

It isn’t clean if you have a cockroach infestation:( Sigh…these cockroaches can even get into your luggage:( Take care. You deserve better than to stay here
