So from what I know (was a local when this opened) the hotel opened up in the winter of 2019/2020 before Covid. It was going to be the main stay for families going to Dutch Wonderland, or at least that was the word of mouth plan. Of course, March 2020 was when Covid hit full force in that area so Dutch Wonderland, and by extension, the Hotel lost a lot of business. I believe and this is again just word of mouth from living in this area at the time, there were talks of transforming Dutch Wonderland into Cartoon Network theme park. Of course that never happened but it was a strong rumor when the hotel was being built.

I absolutely love majority of the art throughout the hotel and room. Even that Steven universe blanket looks so nice. Like definitely if they ever decide to convert it to a regular hotel like the nick hotel, I'd definitely wanna see if I could pick up some of the art. I like it has an art deco kinda approach. Rather than just stock pictures it seems all original designs making them subtle not so in your face, so it can be fun for a kid while not as juvenile or in your face for an adult.

Just stayed there last night and I promise you as a 35 year old man it’s a great experience my son loved my wife loved. The entire experience was well worth the money.

I'm curious though about the branding with the hotel. Because it sticks mainly to the modern iteration of CN. I wonder why there's not really usage of their legacy shows a cow and chicken, or a Billy and mandy, or Johnny bravo, kids next door etc. Maybe a licensing thing asking creators permission or not wanting to pay a percentage for the usage, whereas current shows are still under contract so its ok? I dunno my only guess.

I wondered about that too. My theory is this hotel is made for kids who grew up with CN in the past 10 years, so who would have never seen a single episode of Billy & mandy, Johnny bravo, or any of that. The Powerpuff girls are only there bc of the 2016 reboot.

Haven't seen your vids in a while but i'm planning on staying here for my birthday! So happy a dedicated CN fan is vlogging about the hotel~ I'm stupid excited for everything Adventure Time related and the gift shop. The prices for the rooms aren't bad honestly either. I'm looking forward to being there during the cold season bc I know tons of people won't be there; so I can film everything and embrace my inner child in peace and without tons of actual kids running around lol. Tbh, I don't see this hotel sticking around forever so visiting will definitely be a core memory and experience in my life.

The pink blue and yellow are the contrasting colours for the black and white of CN for the dimensional idents from 2021. Though Pastel is the current CN ident, they didn't change the hotel! Hope this explains it!
