The best value hotel in London is undoubtedly the Premier Inn Heathrow Terminal 4 where rooms are often just £50 a night, but occasionally slightly less. But the main point is that the rooms are pretty new and quite large. And you can easily get into London via the Elizabeth Line or Piccadily Line. And of course if you have 2 people staying in the room, £25 each is particularly good value.

Sorry for the late reply, I only just saw your comment 😅…. I totally get where you’re coming from with best value for money, but I think that could be something different for everyone… I know that a lot of my followers are actually on a budget and appreciate when I test a hostel or so, because they get to see it before they go. They also might be travelling alone and won’t have the option to share a room and split the costs. I also often try out hotels that are somewhat unusual, purely for the experience. For me, best value can be a number of things. I think a hotel at Heathrow wouldn’t be an option for me, because I like to make the most out of my travel time and wouldn’t want to spend the time going there and back. And usually when I travel, I don’t spend much time in the room, so a place to sleep is sufficient (unless I am staying for the experience 😅). So I guess, „best value“ can mean a number of things and can be a personal preference. In this video, I was just shooting for „cheapest“ which it was at the time I booked….😅 Thanks again for stopping by my channel and have a great day 😁

Thanks for the vid. Ive used hostels for years in London and other parts of Europe. I dont mind staying in those or luxury hotels. It just depends on my mood lol. As long as it is clean, safe and comfortable Im good. Brekkie is a plus!

thanx for a very thorough review. My only quibble was the bed situation! eg did you have to sleep in bunk beds? and if you did, did you get to choose the bunk you wanted, in other words, the top or bottom bunk? i ask cuz a few years ago i was stuck for somewhere to stay in madrid for 1 night, and was forced to take the top bunk, which for me was a nightmare!!!

Or especially when you book in advance you could write them a message. Years ago I was in Spain for a few weeks (I walked the Camino) and as I fell out of a top bunk as a kid and ended up in hospital with concussion, I also prefer the bottom ones. I was in Spain for five weeks and apart from a few nights where I stayed at hotels, I was always in hostels with bunk beds. Not once did I have to sleep on the top 😅….

I just think it’s common decency and good service- if someone asks for something and it’s available, why shouldn’t it be possible….? If of course there’s only one bed left and that’s a top bunk, that’s a different story, but other than that 😅….
