Hi Everyone, I really hope you enjoy this video. It took far long to edit than expected and I poured a lot of energy into it, so please do like and leave a comment. I’m not sure when I’ll get the next video out but hopefully the next episode will be out soon! 🐧

Was this May? 8 months ago from today, which is late January. Is there always snow in the ground there? And they have short days in winter and long days in summer? So this is the best time to film, or maybe just the least crowded for photographers! Thanks for a great series! I met you during Roo’s series.

A piece of trivia about eiders that I find very interesting: As you probably know, the eider's down feathers make for some of the best and most sought-after stuffing for pillows and duvets. For centuries, they have had a kind of symbiosis with humans, especially in the Lofoten and Vesterålen area, where people build little shelters for them which the eiders use when they lay eggs and for the first while after they hatch. The humans provide protection against predators during this period, and in return, when the birds leave the shelters, the humans collect all the down feathers which is then used for duvets and pillows and possibly other products as well.

That is wonderful! I did wonder if elders had to die to make the awesome down duvets.

Superb video from start to finish. Around the 19:00 mark, when the surreal music rises to meet the falling snow is when the video becomes awe inspiring, like I'm not just "seeing nature" with my eyes, but witnessing it.

Hi Dany, first f all many many thanks for all your efforts and depriviation to provide us such incredible shots and footage. You can be proud you did such great shots. In such condition I would dying soon, to cold, to wet. Yes, as long as you take care of your toes and keep them warm(the old people did well with paper in their boots) your whole boddy would feel warm as well. Anyway, hope your nose recovered soon as well. You have a damned good character when you still can smile and making jokes in such conditions. Waiting for your next adventure, CU

EXTRAORDINARY! The slow motion videography was just MAGICAL. And I had no idea gulls flew that far north! They looked like lesser black-backed gulls and how incredible to see their intricate nests among the sills of the building! And I loved seeing your joy after the boat ride. You're an adventurous spirit and it flows right into your viewers! On day two I swear I almost cried at the beauty you captured of the gulls. They are my favorite sea bird! You left me awestruck! I'm curious if Orcas come into the harbor to eat them? Well done on this second of the series, Dani!

Well Danni as usual all I need do is look out my windows and listen to the ruckous of the nesting seagulls, which accommodate the surrounding roofs where the next generations will fly from in months to come. And Aberdeen in Scotland being an old past generations sea port for Herring and Haddock, most fish landed are refrigerated in boxes so not a draw as such to the waiting gulls . The things you guys and gals put your bodies thru is incredible, trust your toes have thawed out and no frostbite recorded ?

I've been to Norway, it's the coldest place I've ever been! Especially up North near the Attic, I visited Bergen, then drove through the Mountains up north to an island called Giske. At one point on the drive a Giant Moose jumped out of the forest on one side of the mountain road right in front of the car! As we looked back at it just standing majestically with his huge Antlers (?) in the middle of the mountain road framed either side by two huge mountains, I thought to myself, that shot would win any nature photography competition! But by the time I got out the car and started edging closer.....he jumped over the small barrier and bounded back into the steep mountain forest! It was an amazing animal encounter though. It's As close as I'll ever get to the Pole! As well as being the coldest place I ever been (beyond cold!), it's also the most beautiful Country I've every seen....by far! When you've seen things like a massive lake so still the surface looks like a giant perfect mirror reflecting two huge snowcapped mountains either side it takes your breath away. 😮❤🙏
