I actually stayed at Nine hours in asakusa 4 nights and commun areas make all the difference for just chilling at night, but I really didn’t like how the locker room was filled up in the morning before check out ! Really liked your video, it brought back a lot of memories ❤️❤️

Some capsule hotel pods actually provide individual vents. The 9 Hrs Shin-Osaka one that I stayed in didn't have one, but the overall environment is good enough so it really doesn't matter. In the Riverside Okayama capsule hotel, each pod does have its own individual vent.

Thanks for this video, it was very helpful. I am leaving to visit Japan in 2 weeks (my daughter is studying at university there). All my friends are telling me I should try out a pod hotel (probably because they would never try it). I've done a fair bit of kayak camping so the idea of sleeping in something that isn't much bigger than me isn't all that unfamiliar. The Zen Tokyo looks like the preferable one.

I think the reason that the first capsule hotel you went to had all of that stuff is that some of them are used for business people who get stuck late at night after work engagements and can’t make it home. This means they have nothing with them and need everything. There are even some capsule hotels that don’t let people stay for more than 24hrs at a time.

It's amazing to see how many people comment about claustrophobia. To me even the small one seemed quite spacious and I'd like to stay there, though there didn't seem to be anywhere in the capsule to lock your small stuff like the first one, which would be a concern for me. These sorts of places are great for travelling on a budget.
