If you sit down and allow the sheep & goats to come to you on their own, they’ll allow you to pet them. They’re instinctively prey animals so if you go after them, they will walk or run away. I have had goats for the past 10 years. They’re the most calming animals I’ve ever had.

Looks pretty awesome. The trees and terrain are very interesting. Don't forget to check out the Perseid meteor shower on the 11th. The moon sets at midnight and there will be good views to the north until dawn comes. Thanks for including us in your adventure! I feel like the old goat in the pen. Can't wait to escape and go exploring!! I would love to be off the grid. In New Mexico they have off grid homes called Earth Ships which are interesting to look at. Also, I would love the make a post and beam home out of straw bales with an R value of like 50 in the walls as well as a floor with tubes that circulate a liquid that can heat or cool the house from the floor. So much cool stuff out there!

Apparently Lil' One's new friend bonded with her as well. Lil' One definitely found that process of getting Luna out of the Jeep highly entertaining, LOL! As far as the farm animals go, my experience has been that they are used to being treated like "dumb animals" and are intrigued with anyone who acts like they're intelligent beings. Wow what a cool place to hang out for a few days….i think I mentioned before if you want to see bears come to the mountains of Pennsylvania. My friend has a cabin in Pike County Pa and she was telling me how a big bear took a 75 pound target that her husband uses for target practice, she said the bear just walked off with it🙄😅😂. I love this. I'm so sorry you are going through what you are. I am 4 months yesterday a widow at 52, after being the full time caregiver for my husband. He fought cancer hard for 5 years, but his last 8 months on hospice were exhausting for both of us. I really admire what you do for those you love, taking care of someone's needs physically, emotionally and however else we fit in the mix, really takes a special person. A break is always a welcome opportunity and this place looks awesome! I admire your camping ability also. I am now the sole owner of an overland trailer, and I hope to get out in it once in a while with my 16 year old son...... time shall tell. Our favorite spot is up near Logandale and also Pioche. We live in the NW of Vegas, not far from your old bar....:) We used to visit there once in a while. Anyway, I really admire you, wish we could go camping sometime because you always have the best campsites! I just watched your Cathedral Gorge vid again last night...so pretty. I think we may stop there once on our way to Pioche. My kid loves the area around Eagle Valley. We dry camp up on the bluffs beyond the reservoir, it's just so beautiful up there! Do the animals get food? The horses had no green grass or hay to eat. It looked like all of the animals were on dirt and rocks know wonder Luna wanted to go with you.

Those animals are very well taken care of. I watched the owners come out every day with hay. Every one of those animals are rescue animals. They even drove all the way to Texas to save one of those horses from being euthanized.
